Your stuck with him. They have too much money tied up in him,to trade him. Also if we know his shortcomings, don't you think other teams know it too.We need to find away to use him better.

How many of you would trade Roy Williams for Troy Polamalu?

Troy Polamalu got burned by Jeremy Stevens multiple times in the Super Bowl... 1 of those plays was the EXACT SAME PLAY that he scored on Roy Williams. Its a pick play with the WR coming across Stevens and attempting to get in the way of the safety covering Stevens. They ran it against Polamalu in the Super Bowl and it worked, they ran it against Roy last night and it worked.

Bradie James is the only person to blame on his other TD. Roy was covering over the top helping Newman. What's pathetic is that Roy managed to make it to Stevens faster than Bradie James when Roy was covering someone else.

Shut up....just shut up.....you had me at Troy Polamalu.

According to STATS LLC., there were 66 safeties (free or strong) who were targeted at least 30 times this season. Of those 66, only four allowed a lower completion rate than Roy, only two had more passes defended, only one had more interceptions, and 39 allowed more yards per attempt.

Holy factual observations, batman!

I still like Roy, I do.

But I don't think he is as good as people want me to believe he is.

We all know he struggles in pass coverage, but one time Saturday he blitzed and nobody touched him and he still missed S. Alexander.

He hasn't lived up to what he was projected to be.

I do think he would benefit from losing weight.

That's the only thing that's got me down on Roy. Safeties get beat - all of them. And anyone who watches the rest of the NFL knows that Roy gets beat far less than most. The trouble is, most of the yahoos posting the Roy can't cover bull watch 31 with a bulls-eye, and anything short of perfection is denegrated into complete incompetence.

But there's no excuse for the tackles he's missed recently. That's been a problem, especially for a playmaker like him. Those are plays he needs to make. On the Alexander one, he left his feet too soon, and went for the ankles. JMO, but a Roy Williams with a healthy shoulder takes Alexander on in the hole, and doesn't dive to protect his shoulder.

If the Cowboys can get a pass rush and bump the receivers, people will see that Roy can cover as well.....BTW, why do some people keep saying Roy is slow? I believe he ran faster then Sean Taylor at the combine, and apparently he's the greatest athlete since Superman.

I just wish we would switch back to the 4-3.Roy and the secondary did better.

I still have his draft profile from NFL.com. He ran 4.53.

Roy's not quick enough at safety. He is a tremendous talent though. How about making him an LB? He could cover the TE's and RB's. He's tough and a great tackler.

He had problems covering their TE, .. I would like to see him lose some weight.

LOL, he is a hole in the secondary, but yet you want someone to trade for him?? Roy should be used as a Strong Safety, his weakness coming out of college was his pass defense. OU used him close to the line and had him covering short to medium range passes. Roy will never be an Ed Reed or a Polomalau. What Roy lacks is range and in the scheme he is asked to cover a lot of ground in the secondary. Coupled with the front sevens ability to pressure the quarterback constantly is what just kills our secondary.

San Diego's secondary is not anything special, yet they pressure the qb better than we do, so their corners and safeties don't have the pressure to have to cover guys for 4-5 seconds.

The best offseason move would be getting more pressure players for our front seven. We need to pressure the qb's consistantly. If we do that, that secondary gets better in a hurry.

This would have been great. Cleveland opted to keep him though...

ARGH! Foiled again
