Trade some pass rushers for WR and TE talent?

The purposes of acquiring draft picks is to get generational talent and, if not generational, good players.
If you have a generational player (who come every once in a life time), why would you give up picks for the low probability of finding another in the draft.

Pay Micah what he's worthy and be done with it.

Make sure to lock of Micah early for the next decade.

But maybe we can trade Parsons and get 2-3 generational players or at least core contributors in exchange for just 1? And not have to pay Parsons in only 2 years?

What would Bill Belichick do? #WWBBD

First, name me a team that has 2 to 3 generational players?

Second, playmakers win games, especially in the playoffs and Super Bowl.
Did you see what Aaron Donald did when the Super Bowl was on the line?
Do you think a core group of contributors would have done the same?

Third, Tom Brady was about the only generational player Belichick had. Do you think Bill would have traded him in him prime for 2 or 3 No. 1 picks?
No.
Belichick is a great coach. He's not stupid. He knew Brady was the key to those Super Bowl wins, which is why he let everyone go BUT Brady.

No, depth is good. Depth at postitions that make the most important player on the other team uncomfortable is invaluable. Our offense is putting up 35 a game since QB1 is back. Kellen was better last year with 2 TE sets then with 3 WR sets and he is proving this year the more he incorporates HBs and TEs the better his offense is. I'm not convinced we need new WRs bad enough to trade (past the deadline anyway). I'm not opposed to signing OBJ or any other WR that makes sense, but I think our DL rotation is our dominant feature and if our OL continues to roll and improve (esp with the other T. Smith returning) we are strongest in the trenches on both sides of the ball... that's playoff ball baby.

I think Parsons could fetch 2 first round picks, a second AND a good young player on a rookie contract (WR/TE). Plus we wouldn't have to sign Parsons to the mega top dollar contract he's going to want after which he will get lazy and underperform.

Get a lot of talent in exchange and not have to pay him.

I think Pittsburgh would be a great place for Parsons. Across from TJ Watt would fit perfectly and they're not going to be in the playoffs with a developing QB for awhile in that loaded division, so we could get a very nice haul for him and as a bonus Parsons gets to move back to his home state.
You trying to make the Steelers better

We have too many pass rushers... As evidenced by the sack totals. We are legit 6-7 deep at the EDGE spot all of which get consistent pressure.

What we don't have is WRs and TEs who can both block and be dynamic in the passing game and catch consistently and get open. Dak struggles on 3rd downs because his WRs and TEs not named Lamb have a hard time getting open and separating.

Good idea or no? Maybe we can deal Sam Williams on his potential, Tank and his contract, idk what contract Fowler will take to re-sign... Basham is expendable, and Armstrong's contract is fairly inexpensive for production so maybe we can package him up as well. Parsons?? I think he's an elite talent and would fetch at least 2 premium first rounders or better, and maybe a top end WR or TE as well.

Thoughts??

I would say not a good idea. Our pass rush is why we are 7-3. Don't trade good defensive players, our offense won't make up for them. A good D can make up for lost offensive players to some extent.

I would trade picks and use the draft to get offensive players we need. Don't trade the players. Parsons is off the charts. When teams account for him, our other good defenders breach the leak left by accounting for Parsons.

The fact that you even mentioned Parsons in this list made this a horrible idea. Put the alcohol down man

Thoughts? Bad idea. There is nothing wrong with their tight ends. Also, you can not trade right now.

Anybody who promotes the trading of Micah Parsons needs to take up being a soccer fan for a living. Football is not for them

So what would you require in return for Parsons? Just curious.
if it was me i require more than just players i need 10% of all their jersey sales, 25% of concession, and they have to put all my starters on their payroll while they play for me

so pretty much those will be my demands and im sure theyll hang up on me midway through them

Actually The Hoodie wanted to trade Brady in the later years with the Patriots. The ownership killed that one. But it would have probably the right move. Brady would have probably better 3 first round picks and change.

NO...can't ever have too many pass rusher or CB's.

Our WR's and TE's are fine. Yes, we could use OBJ, to improve. But the WR group is not horrible like many want to believe.
I was about to say. We have a really good TE group. So good, we don’t get all them out there enough. We need DT’s to go with our DE. Keep bringing heat
