Trade some pass rushers for WR and TE talent?

Not
We have too many pass rushers... As evidenced by the sack totals. We are legit 6-7 deep at the EDGE spot all of which get consistent pressure.

What we don't have is WRs and TEs who can both block and be dynamic in the passing game and catch consistently and get open. Dak struggles on 3rd downs because his WRs and TEs not named Lamb have a hard time getting open and separating.

Good idea or no? Maybe we can deal Sam Williams on his potential, Tank and his contract, idk what contract Fowler will take to re-sign... Basham is expendable, and Armstrong's contract is fairly inexpensive for production so maybe we can package him up as well. Parsons?? I think he's an elite talent and would fetch at least 2 premium first rounders or better, and maybe a top end WR or TE as well.

Thoughts??

In the offseason though??

Already looking forward to the offseason after we inevitably bow out in the 1st round to Tampa on the road since we're stuck with the 5th seed
Why weaken one position to improve another?
Just sign a FA as well as draft guys

Lol, wow. So, in the last half hour I’ve read on here that it was a huge error letting Ridgeway go but that the team needs to trade away Parsons, Williams and Fowler.

What the heck?

Exactly
Next season is for the off season
But weakening one position to boost another isn’t the right approach
Draft and FA is the way to add players this off season

with 2 young rookie TE's doing pretty well as backups I expect at least 1 to step up next year. Gallup doesn't look fully healthy yet but should be back to normal with a full offseason. They can and should address WR this offseason though.

I think we have DA on the books next year. I’m fairly confident Williams can grow into taking his role next year.

I would trade him to the Dolphins to get Ced back.

No need to get greedy. Just give me Mahomes. Don't get me wrong, I like Dak but Mahomes is on another level or 2. Of course Reid would just laugh and drop the phone.

I think Reid probably laughed and dropped the phone when the Commanders asked for Patrick Mahomes this pass offseason

Belechek doesn't trade "generational" players or HOF caliber players. He builds around them and trades the other guys.

I agree. Bill traded guys who were entering the twilight of their careers, not the ones in their prime. Those guys were still good and offered trade value, but in no way were they "generational" talent.

Plus, if Dallas did make that trade, they wouldn't/shouldn't waste an acquired first round pick on a tight end. There are better ways to find a player that improves the tight end position.

Parsons is locked up in Dallas for 3 years. There is no rush to extend him. No reason to trade him, either.

Its going to be interesting to see if Parsons can maintain this level of play if/when Quinn bolts. A lot of his success, according to him, is in large part due to the way Quinn uses him. He loves Quinn.

Make Quinn the HC and move McCarthy to OC and fire Moron IMO. Let Quinn/Parsons pick the next DC.
