May not be the sexy guy but he wins?

QB winz is not a stat so no reason to pretend it is and address that one.
For the other one, Dak is sixth overall in passer rating since 2016 among the group of people with as many starts as him, so it’s not weird at all for him to be third in high passer rating games. Perhaps you could say he’s a touch volatile.

Forget about his rookie year when defenses were letting him beat them with Witten and Beasley. Last year they started to clog the middle and force Dak to throw outside the numbers, which should help us get more big plays. Instead Dak struggled.

In my opinion in the last few games I have seen him start to make these throws. If he keeps doing that and he can start to anticipate guys open better then we will be in good shape.

Since 2016? All Dak's stats that favor him starts in 2016. This is 2018 stat that.

Defense has been winning games, no?

No matter how you WANT to credit it....it's still ONE team.
Agree........
Don't fluff up Dak too much

but .........also recognize he has improved in recent weeks in certain areas some due to avail of another blue chipper in a.cooper
but he has started to step up in pocket some better
he has limited the spread leg jump ball pass that has nothing on it
he has limited the reverse rollout to the left that consistently got him In trouble

now.......fumbles, get some touch on some balls ( missed TD to Gallup and N.Brown)........
a work in progress for sure
but......lets not over feed the "cheese" right now

So are we going to give him a big contract where we can't afford a great offensive line to protect him from fear. Just wondering.

It might be for the best. They have far too many resources on this offensive line for them to be getting poor line play. They are paying Fredericks max money and he's not playing. They are paying Collins big money and he's been inconsistent. Tyron Smith at this point is overpaid. If there's a option to lower the pay of this unit it needs to happen.

These forums are doing the Quinn > Romo thing 11 years later.

Just look at the Wentz > Prescott guys.

My money is in 15 years it sounds just as ridiculous. Wentz has a great regular season, but Foles won the Super Bowl and playoffs.

Legacy wise, Prescott is going to be the winner here.

The youngin' still has a lot of learnin' to do.
Hopefully he continues to grow.
Stevie still needs to learn how to build a proper team though.
McClay can only do so much with his semi-castrated position.
Between Jerry's eccentricities and Stevie-boy's going overboard on the being the opposite (penny-pinching)-
This team still has some serious anchors to overcome and Dak's only a part of it and at least he has a chance to change that evaluation through simple growth into the position.

Easy.

Dak is a conservative passer. He's a bus driver. He throws safe passes for a high completion % and fewer INTs. When guys like that have a good running game and defense and aren't really asked to do much, it results in inflated passer ratings. It doesn't really move the ball all that well, but hey, it looks good in the rating stat. It's how Tyrod Taylor had 6 games over 100 rating in 2015, and 2016 (including 4 over 123 in 2015). Lots of dump offs, screens, play action. Imagine what he would have done with the Cowboys OL, Elliott, and actually above college level WRs. Oh, and the majority of those (Dak's) came in 2016, before defenses adjusted.

Then wins are a team stat, so it doesn't make any sense to even bring it up.
