Trapasso Mock 2/22/23 (CBS Sports)

“New offensive coordinator Kellen Moore will allow Justin Herbert to push the ball downfield more frequently than the QB did with Joe Lombardi. So, it's time to get Herbert a serious vertical weapon. That's precisely what Hyatt is.”

Seriously? Have ya seen Kellen Moore call an NFL game?

Trapasso is certainly a non-conformist when it comes to his mocks and his rankings in general. I can't say that I agree with a lot of his views, but kudos for going out on a ledge.

Robinson isn't in the same class as Moss. Moss was a generational guy. Robinson isn't all that different than any other first round picked TB. And those guys like Barkley and Elliott and Gurley didn't tip the scales at all in terms of overall team success.
Which is why I said just behind passing on moss

An OC is really only as good as his QB. There are some exceptions like Shanahan in San Fran. But I just don't think Jackson is that good a QB that he takes Washington from a bottom feeder in the NFCE to the favorite to win the SB. He's OK for sure but good enough that he tips the scales that much? Nah.
I am in Baltimore. The Ravens are not trading Lamar this season unless they get at least 3 first round picks plus other picks and young players. They want to win this season. They just don’t want to set the quarterback market.

Anybody who's kept up with college football would call this mock the dumbest one to date. no way in hell is Anthony Richardson going before Young, Stroud, Anderson or Carter.

Have anyone seen this guy at UF play? Richardson didn't throw a touchdown until his 4th game of the season against UT and how the commentators were making such a big deal of the fact. But you expect me to believe this kid is going to turn around some NFL franchise straight out the gate...

They have the 2 LSU guys and I suspect that LVE will be back.
Yea. Cox has barely played since he was drafted and Clark looked lost out there last year.

If those are our starters our D is going to take a massive step backwards.

This mock is lunacy with seemingly the entire first round consisting of a bunch of blockbuster trades. I don’t see this as even remotely likely. Fun to daydream though, I guess.

If they pass on Robinson for this. I think it'll be just behind passing on moss
What if Bijan is Adrian Peterson 2.0 ?

I am absolutely not going LB in R1.

That would seem nuts.
If we don't resign LVE then I'd resign another vet gap filler as we let the kid LBs develop.
But I have massive holes on offense, at DT and CB.

LB is like my 6th or 7th priority.
Clark and Cox may be the long-term answer anyway.

I'd be super annoyed is Hyatt goes off board at 21.
He is my pet cat.

In this mock I might have had to take Bijan or O'Cyrus as TE/CB/WR get hit pretty hard before our selection.

No it wouldn’t. RB is arguably the least valuable position in football.

Completely different scenario.
Offball LB isn't far behind RB. No way I lean into offball LB at 26.
At least RB tend to play very well as rookies and can be near top of league in performance on young legs.
With Micah still playing some offball LB and 2 recent draftees you have options there.

Fortunately for Sanders he brings a ton of pass rush with his game. 11 sacks and 39 pressures last year. You’re getting more than an off ball LBr.

He won’t go 1.

But hes going to blow up when he runs a 4.4 at the combine lol

They don’t have control
Once tagged he will be offered a deal by someone that Ravens won’t match and they will get 2 rd 1 picks

The Ravens are going to use the exclusive tag like we did with Dak. You can’t negotiate with other teams with that distinction.

Then he won’t sign the tag and not show up for TC
A lost year for ravens

We will see. Dak was tagged twice and did not miss any time. The media is trying to start drama, Lamar will be the Ravens quarterback next season.

What if Bijan is Adrian Peterson 2.0 ?
What did Adrian Peterson ever win?

Great TB but he never lifted a team to a SB.

Build the OL, fill the running back depth chart with FAs and mid round picks.

That’s the recipe.

Sanders is another one of those guys I'd really like to get, but not over an OT as good as Jones.
