Travesty of Officiating

You know I think your right and your point about keeping the games close is really sad but I think it's true. What does that say about the N.F.L.?

Yep, the Rooney fix was in for this game. Kudos to the Boys for overcoming the Stealers and the refs. This is the most ridiculous game I have seen in years.

The officiating was poor but just to be fair............. on Elliott's long TD catch, we had an illegal man downfield and it was pretty obvious. Leary (I think it was him) was 5 yards down field before Elliott even caught the ball. So we got some gifts too.

The pass was behind the line of scrimmage so the player being downfield was legal

According to Goodell we don't need full time refs.

Yea whatever.

Don't need full time refs to keep games close and favor the teams you want to win at the end.

I wonder what these refs are really paid to never tell the truth. Too many unbelievable things going on week after week

I'll agree wholeheartedly with anyone that says that refereeing is crap.

But I don't want to hear about any conspiracy theories about the league/refs being biased against Dallas. You can't claim that and then sit there and watch them flag Pittsburgh on the final drive for a facemask. If they were out to get us, they wouldn't have called it point-blank.

Yep.

They are just wildly inconsistent.

What's really crazy is how good in comparison the NCAA officiating and replays are. Given the NFL guys are supposedly the most experienced and very best, it's hard not to think they must be blowing calls to make games closer, though the Patriot, Steeler, and Giant love is on another level.

The Martin holding call was ludicrous. I even thought one of the Leary holds was iffy, at best. But then they miss the Dunbar molestation. I think Dunbar is going to need psychological therapy after that.

Funny how Troy wanted all of the calls against Dallas, but against Pittsburgh? Mums the word.

Listen, I know the guy tries to hide his homer'ism, but it's a bit overboard. He is extremely annoying at times to listen to when he's doing Cowboys games. He literally gives zero credit!

Always points out the negative and ignores the positives. Never sees the call when it favors the Cowboys and always sees it when it favors the opponent. Irvin is my favorite Cowboys player doing anything with media.
