Dude, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Every post you make is wrong. Besides having a ridiculous premise to start with....Romo got hurt in the 3rd game and Dak still played his half as well as he got extensive work in the first 2 games.
If memory serves they were using Jamiel Showers and trying to see if he was feasible.
Dak played some, but only a couple of quarters.
And Showers outplayed Dak.

No, we don't because we have never seen Dak with rushers in his face and guys who don't care to hit him.
Yes we do because we have seen every other starter who is on his level completely dominate the backups. I have not seen Trey Lance play with a High School squad this year so maybe the high school QBs are better than him right now. That is basically the logic you are using.

Meanwhile in the real world world every single real starter stands out when playing against backups. Lance cant because he is not. I know that seemingly is a hard thing for people to grasp but he simply is not it. Maybe he will be someday but that day is not today. His ceiling for this year has not really changed and that is to grow into a mid level top 40-50 QB who are you are satisfied with as a backup but do not want as a starter. Maybe he can grow beyond that after this year but that is where he is trying to get to right now.

Aren't you the one who states Dak pads his stats against bad teams? And those teams are manned with players that made the cut to get to the regular season. One might make the argument Lance faced players who will soon be searching for their next opportunity. Maybe some kinda football in Canada, or kiddie leagues.
You post stats from preseason games as if they mean a whole heck of a lot.

I find that both hysterical and myopic, in an attempt to suggest this guy is more than he is, since you are the architect of this narrative.
Lance is playing with guys that will be pumping gas in 2 weeks himself.

Horrible take, Dak fan.

We could use a good RB. One thing nobody can take away from Trey is his ability to run.

It's all a matter of what each program or organization wants.
How often do they make the wrong choice? Very often.
So whether or not he could beat another guy out is all conjecture.
In this situation, Trey Lance has the potential to be what the Cowboys desperately need.
The question is whether or not they recognize that.
??????????????????????????????????????????????? Lance is about as good right now, as he is going to get. Unfortunately for him, he had too many people in his ear telling him what he wanted to hear, when he came out of college WAY TO EARLY. If he gets a chance to start with the No. 1s and goes against No. 1 defenses he is going to get smoked. If Lance is given an opportunity to start for the Cowboy's No. 1s, the offensive point average per game will be so low, it will result in the defense being so over worked that the longer he stays in, it will help the Boy's chance of drafting in the top 5 on the NFL draft.
