I honestly think the only way to make trade worth the pick, you have to try and make him into a Tysom Hill type thing

Right. I have no problem with this trade, because they're not hanging their hats on it, like they would if they had drafted him #3 overall. If he develops...GREAT! If he doesn't work out, it was a 4th round pick which certainly would have no guarantee of helping the team.

Just give the kid a few years to develop with no pressure and learn from guys like Dak and Rush. Actually couldnt be a better situation for him. He has NO expectations here.

Look at Jordan Love with the Packers. Kid was super green, if he would have been thrown to the fire right away it would have been a disaster. Not all QBs are created equal. Some need time to develop.

This is a perfect situation for him to sit back develop and who knows.

The film shows Lance has a good arm and he is athletic.The problem is he has limited reps as a quarterback over the years. The kid has thrown 400 passes since he was in college. Lance’s problem as a Cowboy is Dak rarely gives up reps in practice. I don’t see how he will get enough work in the offseason either. Lance needs to play. I think the Cowboys will at least develop a goal line package for him. The kid basically will be in the same situation in Dallas then he was in San Francisco.

If you inserted Lance at quarterback now and go like 10-7 to get him some experience, would the Cowboys be better off in the long run then giving Dak an extension? You answer the question. Jerry will have to piss Dak off if he wants to see what Lance can do. Sitting on the bench is not going to help Lance or the Cowboys.

Film proves only an idiot would trade up for a guy with suspect accuracy. Spare me the athletic junk, he ain't no rg3 or Lamar either. Dude is barely qb3 material and that might be all he ever is. If the cowboys are lucky and they have been, he might make qb2 next year.

Exactly but Lance needs to play. I don’t think it was a smart trade. To bad football does not have a minor league system.
