I think the fans are the only ones wanting to see him in live game action. The coaches not so n much.
Zero chance...Any chance he is made active and not just the 3rd emergency QB vs NYG? My thinking is if we get far ahead we get some actual game action from him.
If Dallas had beaten Arizona, I could sorta kinda see it. But I don't think, from here on out, they'll be taking any opponent for granted and making active/inactive decisions based on what might happen if it's a Cowboys blowout.Any chance he is made active and not just the 3rd emergency QB vs NYG? I think we know what the problem with that would be, right? For example, if Dallas is up 35-3 going into the 4th, what do you expect the Cowboys to do? They're just going to run the ball, and the clock out.
Even with the second scenario ---Zero chance...
The only way you might see lance on the field this year is either there's injuries to Dak and Rush or it's week seventeen with the conference, division or playoff seed secured in a nothing game.
"Sitting" = made inactive for the game.I'm not a betting man, but if you had to force me to bet, I would bet that the odds of Trey Lance taking a snap as a Cowboy with a healthy Dak and Rush is virtually 0.
Not saying there is absolutely impossible, but I think the only way it happens with a healthy Dak and Rush is if Dallas wraps up HFA with 2+ games left to play and they sit Dak.
And quite frankly, I don't sit Dak out whole games if I'm the HC. Seen too many players come back from taking games off and play poorly to let them sit out entire games.
JMHO
If there is a NEXT MAN UP it should be RUSH! Try to keep him sharp in the case that Prescot get's hurt or implodes.Any chance he is made active and not just the 3rd emergency QB vs NYG? My thinking is if we get far ahead we get some actual game action from him.
Page is bookmarked. Will review in three weeks. These next 3 games we are winning big, it's the best time if they want to give him some playing time. I honestly don't care if he does play, he's a bust, if you can't look good in the 49ers offense and get beat out by Sam Darnold then that says a lot.

If you read their forums.....the concensus from their fan base is that he isn't a bust and actually out performed darnold in camp, contrary to the way the media portrayed him. The reason he was traded was that he fell out of favor with some coaches. Apparently he was a lynch pick and not a Shanahan guy. These next 3 games we are winning big, it's the best time if they want to give him some playing time. Well, that’s what a smart team would do and use the opportunity to build the players confidence and perhaps market value. But, this is the Dallas Cowboys. So Dak will play the full game and pad his stats.Any chance he is made active and not just the 3rd emergency QB vs NYG? My thinking is if we get far ahead we get some actual game action from him.
They absolutely should either activate him or make him the backup because this would be a great chance to get him some real time reps.Any chance he is made active and not just the 3rd emergency QB vs NYG? My thinking is if we get far ahead we get some actual game action from him.
