Sure.

Dak wants another deal.

200 million. On top of the 160 he has now.

That’s 360 million for a QB who hasn’t been to a Pro Bowl since 2018.

Or trade for Lance.
If Dak leads the team to a conference championship game, you will be wanting him back, especially since this team is built to win now while Lance won't be anywhere near ready to start for at least 2025 at best if he ever improves.

I have seen stranger things. I wonder why someone would use a top 3 first round draft pick on a physically gifted player and use him for 8 games and trade him for our 4th round pick. I know he was injured in his second year but how is 8 games enough to know if he is going to be good. His stats were not terrible for a young draft pick. 6 games in 2021 5 TDs and 2 int. Not burning it up but he is a rookie.
I frequently listen to 95.7 The Fan in San Francisco and there have been whispers for the past year that Lance is not as athletically gifted as their scouting department sold him to be. They say he is not nearly as fast as his timed speed (leg injury?) and that his lack of field vision keeps him hanging onto the ball way too long which leads to unearned sacks. Obviously I have not attended a single 49er practice so I can neither confirm nor deny any of this but several of the beat writers have made that observation. He's just not the athlete they thought they were getting. And right now his mind is too slow to make up for slow feet too. But the kid deserved a second chance and he got it. Good for him. Hopefully he progresses to the point where he is at least a viable backup for Dak. If he becomes better? That wouldn't be the worst thing in the world either.. but I'm gonna have to see it to believe it.

The Rams ate a lot of money for both Gurley and Goff, the Falcons ate a lot of money for Ryan, the Browns ate their choice in Mayfield, the Seahawks moved on from Russell, there are rumblings the Cardinals want to move on from Murray....so to say that JJ & Dallas can't move on from Dak if they choose to is the furthest thing from the truth.
If they did, then yeah that would say a lot. I think they'd have to eat $80-$90 million if they cut him after this season. More than they'd pay him next season and it would hit the salary cap I believe. So yeah they can but it would be detrimental and they would no longer have a viable QB. Good luck with that....

Based on a video clip posted in another thread of reporters asking Dak about the trade and his notification, take from it what you will but Dak seemed a bit standoffish in his comment.....but words mean nothing next to on-the-field performance so in just under two weeks we will begin to see how Dak does.
Based off what? He was having an emotional moment because that interview occurred minutes after the team was saying goodbyes to Will Grier. Dak mentioned how close Grier was to so many teammates and that's why he sounded standoffish and a bit curt too. Mike McCarthy's postgame interview had much the same tone. A lot of friendships on this roster are about to get broken up, not just with Grier but with several other players.

Of course this doesn't fit the narrative so I'm sure this possibility will get dismissed.

If he doesn’t you will never post again

And if you do I will share our message for all to see every time I see you post.

Another factor is Dallas would have to make a decision next year on exercising the Trey 5th year option. I just don't see them trading for him if they didn't think he was a potential long-term solution, instead of paying Dak.
they get one year to see first hand. by end of the year we will know. if they don't take the 5th year option, it should give us all the clue.

Except that the truth includes little things like a no trade clause and a crippling cap number if they release him. Dak's not going anywhere, so neither will threads like this.

It almost sounds like Carson Wentz. I hope Lance gets a chance to start and prove he deserved a 2nd chance.

I don’t think so but I giggled at the title lol

The Dak wars have begun
Lol. Begun? I would say the Dak wars started in 2019 when his contract was up. This is Dak WWII.

Btw I read that in Yoda’s voice. It reminded me of the last scene in attack of the clones.

Yoda- “Victory you say? Master Kenobi no. Begun the Dak Wars have.

Dak doesn't care about Lance nor is he threatened. The Cowboys can't cut him after the end of the year and he can't be traded. He is sitting pretty.

If anything he is saying "oh, so that's your plan to replace me? A guy who couldn't beat Mr. Irrelevant and Sam Darnold, let me ask for more $$". The Joneses and some selective dopes here are in denial. There's a reason they gave him all the money when he had his leg hanging off a couple seasons ago. Good luck with the blustering Cap Boy and Jerruh...
100% spot on, @stiletto !

If anything, Jerry just made it worse on himself and the front office. Dak and his agent will certainly be offended and up the ante way more now.

Didn't read the OP but just wanted to say. This girl or guy averages 30 posts a day about how much she hates the Cowboys every day since February of 2021.
(23,000 posts 2.5 years) Please...can't we get some of these people out of here so that 30 threads every day don't get sabotaged. Let's make this place about the Cowboys for once.

Yeah I pointed out one time that 27 of his last 30 posts were about Dak Prescott and he was averaging like 5 - anti Dak posts an hour at the time.

Now coincidentally this user “limits who may view their profile” lol.

Anyway, I try not to judge someone’s hobbies if they’re harmless. Mine are playing guitar, photography, and playing video games.

MountaineerCowboy’s hobby is being weird on the internet. Strange, but harmless overall.

Hate to break it to any of the Dak haters but Lance is at least two years away from being close to ready to take over the reigns of a good NFL team. People really need to spend more time in the real world..
The problem is Dak lives rent free in their head. They are more interested in being "right" about a player than the success of the team.

I want a Super Bowl. I don't care if it's Dak, Rush, Lance, or using Deuce Vaughn under center while running the wishbone offense.

I'm interested in team success. The Prescott obsession is what it is. If I am wrong in my posts and a complete stranger calls me out on it, well, so what? It's only viewpoints and opinions anyway. Nothing we say on here is going to change anything.

The writing is on the wall and it couldn’t be anymore clear.
There are many instances in our society where a segment is despised for traits that segment possesses, which other short sighted people find - with no actual substance backing it up - to be vile. They justify their malice by manufacturing half truths to support why their target is inferior in their minds.

The more you state your case, the more I see irrational hate driving your bus. And your unceasing vitriolic seething continues unabated as you, what some might say, rage. So the writing on the wall could not be more clear, and it points to your malevolence, which has no real origin or bearing with the issue at hand.
