It’s as obvious as can be. This was a message to the unknowing Dak. There is no comfort for you anymore. We wouldn’t resign your BFF and now this. It’s put up or shut season.

This is an out of character move from Jerry. He does not trade draft picks for guys he has no interest in playing. It’s just not the way Jerry has ever done business.

It won’t happen fast and maybe not this year at all, but the purpose of this trade is to put pressure on Dak.

Daks contract is coming up and Jerry trades for a young, raw, 1st rounder QB and that’s supposed to be a coincidence and depth move?

Jerry could’ve signed a veteran like Wentz, Flacco, or waited until cuts, or kept Grier if he was looking for a depth move.

He didn’t even give a heads up to Dak that he was doing this knowing a splash like this will make big news and allowed Dak to be blindsided instead.

The writing is on the wall and it couldn’t be anymore clear.

Disagree. They liked him before, and would have drafted him, and they got him for a fourth. Now Jerry can hedge his bets. If Dak falls flat again in the playoffs, he’ll be gone after the 2024 season. Lance, and/or whomever else they acquire, can take over in 2025. If Dak balls out, they’ll resign him.

It's hard to watch someone so invested in his twisted rage-driven world view that he so completely loses touch with objective reality. Get help.
Not for me ..... I find it hilarious when people like that make fools of themselves.

Both quarterbacks are under contract through 2024 and then both hit free agency. I just do not believe Trey will have enough time with 3 preseason games next year to show he should start over Dak.

Jerry got bent over the last time they negotiated Daks deal. I don’t think he wants a repeat. If this season isn’t at minimum a championship game appearance and even that might not be enough.

You hate that I'm right, Dak fan.
It’s unknown at this time whether Trey is anymore than the heir apparent for Dak.

That’s if you want to base your opinions on what our ownership said Saturday night at the game. Did you see those interviews?

Based on those responses it appears Trey is the future they feel was stolen out of the cookie jar. And feel their future is more promising with a 3rd overall 1st round pick to take over when Dak is done who they also said intend to extend him “ sooner than later” which didn’t appear to have any attachments to any more success than he’s had.

Unless Dak and Rush go down I wouldn’t expect to see Trey except maybe in practice or preseason games next year until at least until their contracts are done .

This could change of course but like I said if you want to base on their statements .

Read Bob Sturm’s thorough and objective breakdown of Lance that he posted today, and then it will be obvious Lance is in no position to start anytime soon.

Cooper Rush has not only started and finished more games, he’s been better. Comparing Lance to Dak is insulting right now.
Comparing Dak to a QB who can win a SB is insulting.

I think he just has to show up.

Kid has all the talent he needs.

Plus, Jerry is tired of paying Dak mega millions for playoff losses.

They’ve got plans for TL.

Jerry didn’t even call Dak when the trade was final.

No way Jerry pays Dak another 200 million.

That’s almost half a Billion in total salary.

Or Lance on the cheap.
