Didn't read the OP but just wanted to say. This girl or guy averages 30 posts a day about how much she hates the Cowboys every day since February of 2021.
(23,000 posts 2.5 years) Please...can't we get some of these people out of here so that 30 threads every day don't get sabotaged. Let's make this place about the Cowboys for once.
Aye.....I respect this notion. I'll say this...this place is cleaning up. A lot of these guys are either fading away or waiting until the season starts. Mountaineer is just working overtime for some reason lol.

I mean, I get it, this is the only thing Jerry will do that you can even kind of spin to validate your seething hatred of Dak (I still think he banged your wife or something, it just seems a little too personal with you) so it makes sense you would be trying to spin it as hard as you can. But dang man, Lance isn't even going to be the backup and Dak will certainly sign an extension next offseason, if not in the coming weeks. That's obvious to anyone with a brain who objectively follows this team. He's not going anywhere and all this trade does is give us a project and a more serviceable backup. You aren't wrong with some of your Dak criticisms but when you take it to these extremes it just makes you look like you have no idea what you're talking about.

It’s as obvious as can be. This was a message to the unknowing Dak. There is no comfort for you anymore. We wouldn’t resign your BFF and now this. It’s put up or shut season.

This is an out of character move from Jerry. He does not trade draft picks for guys he has no interest in playing. It’s just not the way Jerry has ever done business.

It won’t happen fast and maybe not this year at all, but the purpose of this trade is to put pressure on Dak.

Daks contract is coming up and Jerry trades for a young, raw, 1st rounder QB and that’s supposed to be a coincidence and depth move?

Jerry could’ve signed a veteran like Wentz, Flacco, or waited until cuts, or kept Grier if he was looking for a depth move.

He didn’t even give a heads up to Dak that he was doing this knowing a splash like this will make big news and allowed Dak to be blindsided instead.

The writing is on the wall and it couldn’t be anymore clear.
It probably serves as two-fold if they have finally wised up….a certain amount of leverage against Daks agents money demands, which I’ve been begging them to do forever…..and maybe an RPO package that will give opponents something else to prepare for at a minimum….maybe some surprising results otherwise.

Anyone arguing with risk/reward here isn’t really getting it.

I see this as big change from Jerry’s absolute loyalty to certain players. That’s not at all a bad thing.

Dak fans don’t see it that way.

They think Jerry traded a draft pick for a QB3.

I like to engage with my fans.

I’m not going to be rude and leave them hanging all the time.

P.S. You could block me. Why can’t you quit me, bro?

I don't see our FO replacing Dak anytime soon, if and when they should decide to at some point in the future. Much remains to be seen how Dak manages to perform this year and beyond, however. He can ill afford to allow his performances to linger in the level that they did in 2022, however; that much seems fairly obvious. I wouldn't be overly surprised if Lance challenges Cooper Rush in the not-too-distant future, though. We'll see.

Jerry don’t trade draft picks for back up QBs.

He could’ve signed a proven vet to do that or keep Grier.

This is a wake up call to Dak. That’s why he was blindsided by it. He thought he was safe. He thought he was untouchable. He become comfortable in the mediocrity.
If that's the case, why would Jerry not trade for Darnold. Lance couldn't beat out Darnold, but he's going to beat out Dak?

30 post a day on a teams forum you can't stand. I've always told you I feel bad for you. This is the most sincere I've been about it. That's an illness. NOBODY should hate something that much.
