Hope he mentions why he bashes Dallas as a game commentator

He doesn't bash the Cowboys he gives candid opinions that's what he's paid to do. Because he played for the Cowboys everyone here expects him to be homer. He's had nothing but praise for Romo and has given the team credit when credit is due.

Troy is a Biadasz. He still looks in shape. Total field general with great charisma and personality.
Troy was a great field general and Dallas was so lucky to have him!
But I have to say, in all my years I have never once heard him described--at least during his football days--as someone with "great charisma". Almost always the exact opposite.

Aikman was the winningest QB of the 90s which included at least five HOF QBs.

Answer the question, why do you think he's the most overrated human being of your lifetime if you're not a stats guy? You just worked your way into a tight corner.

I can't wait to see Troy's. My favorite growing up. He doesn't get enough credit. Guy was so sought after college.

It should be a good show. Looking forward to it.
I always thought it was a double standard that Troy dated as many celebrities (Janine Turner, Sandra Bullock, Laurie Morgan) as he did, but then when Romo briefly dates two (and nearly 9 years ago) he gets called a lime-lighter.
Jeesh...they were single...so who cares.

a little thing called social media. folks have to talk about something 24/7 and make big deals out of nothing.

I guess I'm just biased. My interactions with him have always been pleasant and fun

He seems to have lightened up a lot since his playing days.
I'm sure part of it was that he was just so serious and focused all the time. The title of "wet rag Aikman" and "the charisma of a melted candle wax" went away after that.

Pretty cool that you've been around him some.

Great QB. It was an honor to see his entire career and watch him develop into a HOF QB. Looking forward to his documentary.

Only to those who are all about stats.

In the 1990's, Aikman was overrated because he didn't have the numbers to go along with his rings.

In the 2000's, Tony Romo is overrated because he doesn't have the rings to go along with his stats.

Bottom line: Cowboys quarterbacks will always be at the center of a heated debate.

Aikman was overrated only to those who are into stats. He didn't have big numbers because the offense and team he played for didn't require him to have big numbers. Other than the numbers he had HOF written all over his career. He had great accuracy, leadership and came up big in the playoffs and SB. He outgunned 3 future FIRST BALLOT HOF QBs in the playoffs and SB that resulted in a Cowboys dynasty that dominated the 90s. He was 7-1 vs Favre, Young and Kelly during the postseason.

As for Romo, I don't know where you get that he's been overrated. Most Cowboy FANS over the years think he's been underrated due to his big numbers and career passer rating. The QB rankings that have been posted on the board over the years have caused many to complain that he hasn't been ranked high enough. A majority of the experts over the years have seldom thought of Romo as an elite top 5 QB. The QBs they've ranked ahead of Romo all have better playoff records and at least one ring.
