True or False: Anthony Brown will be our 1 CB this season?

He's a clutcher and grabber. The more times he is matched up on premiere receivers, the brighter the spotlight will be, and more and more PI calls will be made.

Every good corner in the league is a "clutcher and a grabber". There are no good, pure cover corners.

The Seattle Seahawks won a Super Bowl doing and they showed every other team that refs won't call it every play...the good outweighs the bad.

Hey an alert just popped up on my phone that Sherman is on the market, speak of the devil.

Exception, not the rule.

Not every UDFA QB is Romo either.

If a player can play, he can play.

Comparing a corner and a quarterback is just silly. I can sit here all day and name corners drafted out of the first 3 rounds that had long, successful careers.

While you are right most corners grab way too much, Brown's first instinct is to grab which scares me. Even in today's game where corners are too handsy, he is way too handsy.

He's the most talented corner on the roster just needs more game time experience.. Plenty of upside but if we draft a corner in the first then my vote would be false.

I think we'll draft a cb high. Oscan and draft pick start on the outside in base set then Anthony comes in as the third corner. I'm confident in that duo I'm not really feeling like we lost much with Carr and Claiborne leaving today

Just to create a fuss... since we are moving towards Marenilli's preferred Zone defense, is there any chance Byron Jones gets moved back to CB?

And people wonder why everyone in our secondary is leaving....:lmao2:

Rod Marinelli is in so far over his head as a defensive coordinator. I can't blame the DBs for leaving. Tired of being hung out to dry. "Let's play zone...make sure of the tackle...let's hope the offense makes a mistake." That right there is a losing brand of football....and a losers mentality.

I can't wait for this clown to leave town or retire. The game has completely pasted him by:angry:.

We are switching to zone and I am more interested in whether he plays on the strong side or weakside. I prefer him as LCB because of how physical he is.

We are moving away from man calls and don't follow receivers so that notion of a pecking order is unfounded. Scandrick is likely to start weak and Brown strong with Carroll or the rookie manning nickel.

I know Rod prefers zone schemes (although when he has a legit #1 he'll man him up on their best), and I also know this will be exactly what we do, but have they said anything specifically about it? Just curious.

I would think so. The talent goes into the 5th round. There is better OL talent that will be available on day 2 then people put on.

I want a DE with the first pick personally. DB and OL/TE on day 2. Pick up another DB and the remainder of OL/TE on day 3.

Normally it is tough to cherry pick like that but the draft is so obnoxiously deep we likely can get away with it.
Im back and forth with what I want at 28. One of the downsides of picking that late is its hard to tell what talent will be there. IMO a legit RDE prospect would be optimal, but Im not married too it. I do think you will have a solid tier above D Law level talent at 28 however

Our number 1 corner isn't on the team yet. Just like last year when our number 1 running back wasn't on the team in March. There are cards to be played by Jerry and Red Ball.

No, it's not. He grabs at the top of the route and hand fights. It's what Seattle does too.

Don't agree Fuzzy. Too many times I've seen him panic and grab. Seattle is physical all of the time so the refs let them get away with it. Scandrick falls in that category, he mugs people and the refs don't always call him. Brown is going to be a PI machine.

Maybe, if he continues to improve he could be. Also, as he overcame his injuries I think Scandrick looked a lot more like '14 Scandrick when he was our best CB. There are also a number of quality corner that will be around at #28 or even in the second, third, or fourth rounds.

Maybe. Lawrence has also been battling injuries a ton though. If he'd been healthy I think he'd be pretty good. Did you know he was Limited in every single practice last year? Yikes.

I think the value of this draft at DE lies in its depth, outside of a few guys like Barnett, Taco, maybe McKinley I guess. Harris is a question mark to me, is he really that much better than the Basham, KrazyNameguyThatsHuge, Rivers? Although Rivers might go early now.

In this draft, we can't really go wrong with BPA in the first, it's probably going to be a position of need anyway.

Im talking about in terms of where Lawrence was as a prospect. A guy that had RDE traits that need to develope and add weight. He was drafted relatively close to where we draft now. There should be DE's a whole tier higher to where Lawrence was
