No way he leaves.. not this year, and probably not the next. His contract is huge. And he is the main reason why people buy Eagles Tickets or watch the games, just like Vick and the Falcons.

I really think we're making McNabb into a much better quarterback than he actually is. He's a good quarterback running West Coast Offense. He's no Joe Montana. Heck, he's no Steve Young, either. I'm not too concerned about his continued status as the "best quarterback in the NFC East" or his domination over the Giants or Commanders. My main concern is the improvement of our defense to the point that it diminishes McNabb's ability to run the WCO effectively when we play Philadelphia.

I think we are even overrating him in this capacity; Mcnabb is not a West Coast Offense QB; that was evident when Jeff Garcia perfectly executed it when Mcnabb went down.... In a West-Coast Offense you pass to control TOP and the ball, which Garcia did, not throwing seventy-yard bombs in which you scored within a few minutes of the defense getting on the bench. The Eagles were a better team when Garcia was in because he gave the defense time to rest; it wasn't as if a light turned on with the defense that made them decent against the run at the end of the season, it was that Garcia gave them time to rest on the bench, something Mcnabb rarely did last season because he was chucking for the fast score. I am very glad Garcia left because a good west-coast qb can kill you softly; Mcnabb is a joke of a West-coast qb.

if you look at numbers, McNabb was an average QB up until he got T.O. on his team.

2003 (without T.O.) - 57% completion, 3216 yards, 16 TD's, 11 INT's and 79 rating.

2004 (with T.O.) - 64% completion, 3875 yards, 31 TD's, 8 INT's and 104 rating.

just saying, T.O. made him a big part of what he is now, he threw more TD's to T.O. alone in 04 than he did to everyone in 03.

However, Mcnabb has NEVER had a target like T.O.; Mcnabb had James Thrash ( a bench-warmer in washington,by the way, whose recieving core sucks, just so you can understand how bad he is) as a leading reciever. Mcnabb is overrated, but lets give the guy a bit of credit, because he has never had a number one wideout besides T.O. in his entire career in the NFL.

Laugh all you want, but If the Bears would have had even half the QB that McNabb is, they would have had a PHENOMENAL season (possibly keeping Peyton from getting his 1st Super Bowl ring).

I hate McNabb as much as anyone here, but the fact of the matter is, the reason I hate him is because he has OWNED us for the majority of his career. The guy has talent and we would have taken him 100 times over the QBs we've shuffled in and out of here over the course of his career in Philly. Homerism can be blinding.

All Philly QBs have owned the Cowboys. Don't you remember Randall Cunningham?

McNabb had NO, nada, none, receivers to work with other than TO and he has carried that team on his shoulders (along with an oft injured Westbrook) for years now. The guy is no saviour and he isn't Peyton Manning, but he is a very good QB that gets way to much **** thrown his way.

Carry on....

I agree. Which is exactly why I hope they do trade him to Chicago. Get him out of the NFC East and Philly isn't near the roadblock.

Can't argue that a bit bro, but I would have traded our last 7 years for their last seven years in a heartbeat, and that ALL had to do with McNabb (since you failed to address the original arguement. But you DID come up with a whitty little smiley post. ). Hate all you want (as I stated, I hate the bastage too) but, the fact remains, he's been the best QB in this division for the better part of the last 7 seasons. To deny it is ridiculous.

The best Qb. in this division the last seven years pales in comparison to the likes of Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.I would rather have the last seven years of what we have had than to have waisted seven years on the whining chunky soup eatin' black on black crime instigating fool the Eagles call a Qb.Best in our division has landed them what ? Cambell soup endorsements and an empty trophy case. No smilies needed.

One year with a viable offensive weapon(T.O.) besides Westbrook proved what he could do; and even then T.O. was injured all the way on thier playoff run the Superbowl. If Mcnabb had even average talent at wideout during those years when Freddy Mitchell and Todd Pinkston (not even third string quality recievers IMO) Mcnabb would have been better for it, and who is to say how far they would have gone. The year the Eggles were beaten by the panthers in the NFC championship game Westbrook was injured, and he might as well have passed to the peanut vendor his options so terrible. The Eagles superbowl window has closed I think, but if T.O. had played nice, and the front office brought in better options, that team would have won it all I think.

IMO, McNabb has enjoyed success over us because his teams have been more talented than ours--in spite of him. Some of his biggest plays against us have come after we allowed his mobility to escape our defensive pressure and give him time to find his weak receivers. I still remember a few seasons back when McNabb literally ran all over the field, giving Pinkston time to get deep, and he simply chunked it to him for the score.

He capitalized on a busted play simply because we couldn't sack him. Well those days are nearing an end with the addition of Wade's defensive philosophy and more weapons upfront like Spencer. I hope McNabb is healthy for both our divisional games. Let's see how well he picks us apart with guys in his face!

Completely agree 100%.

The league has media blitzed McNabb to the fans bcause he is good (not great) and black.

The Eagles defense has been the difference over the years for the most part.IMO

I was not being racist just a viewpoint on marketing and Eagles team, so for those that are offended cry elsewhere!

Here is my favorite line...........

The Chicago Bears are ready to win the Super Bowl. They might have won it last year except for a glaring weakness at quarterback. Before the ever-popular "window" closes, the Bears need a quality QB to kick them over the hump.

:lmao2: Be careful what you ask for Chicago.

If Chicago wants him, they will have to sell thier souls to get him... amongst the likes of which we have never seen BEFORE....wait, the Commanders do it every year....

However, I cannot believe that Mcnabb is going to go anywhere for at least the next two years unless gets injured...then all bets are off.

Yeah thats right Affirmative Action has been kicking our *** for the past seven years. Being good and black doesn't win NFC East Championships. We've had good defenses and others in the NFC East have had good defenses but Philly has dominated though I guess weve been throwing games to the Eagles because we are scared of Affirmative Action...genius.

With the exception of the year with TO, Mcflab has never had a type of season that deserves all the attention he gets. So why does he get all that attention?

Who mentiond AA?

Maybe you need AA because I was discussing the reason media has exploited McNabb!

Trade him for Briggs. I would gladly let the Eagles turn to Kelly Holcomb or Kolb instead of McNabb.

That's what gets me, I know McNabb is a product of the system and all, but didn't the Eagles get almost as far as the Bears? So why would the Eagles make that trade? I could see if Garcia resigned in Philly.

McSlob might have superior skills, however, he is a mentally weak midget. It does not matter how great you are, if you cannot handle pressure (and it's been shown time and time again with him, ie., the T.O. drama and upchucking on the football field, losing the SuperBowl because of the pressure) then you are not as good as you think.

Give me someone with less talent but more brain power anyday. You take McPuke (and his mommy and daddy)...I'll take the other guy.

Thanks for contributing....TO.
