Oh,
I'm fully aware of the hard reality that's coming these next few years.
Gonna be entertaining.
And like you said, "fun."

LOL
I look at it this way….that’s what it’s going to take to have any chance at real change at all, so I’m ok with it.

So, maybe we get some real leadership in 3-4 years and go from there. For now Jerry is still gonna sell his noise with the 12 win seasons and how injuries were the problem this year.

ChatGPT couldn’t find an example of a starting QB that tore his hamstring and returned to play at a high level. The best example was Vick and he sprained his hamstring and lost some of his explosiveness. I think Dak’s injury has ended his career. Sure, he will attempt to come back, but he will be completely immobile and exposed and will have no option to retire or be forced to retire.
I'm going to say about Dak what I said about Romo. It's time to retire. It's a new phase of life when you have children and you've already made bank, so save the body so you can enjoy those wonderful special moments with your kids outside. Don't wreck any more of your body when you know you can't take it anymore. At this point, it's about enjoying life and family.

HAHAHAHA, that article said "He nearly won the MVP award for the first time in his career last season." He didn't nearly win. It wasn't even remotely close. Not one single number 1 vote. He came in second, sure, but it was a landslide victory. Talk about misleading statements.

Yes. I’m sure he’ll consider your sentiments and leave all the money on the table to satisfy the desire of Cowboys fans who post ridiculous nonsense while he actually plays the game. He’s already enjoying life and family. Now he’s going to get Jerry’s money, too. Fans get to watch.

I'm no Dak hater, but I was *not* in support of an extension as the dollars made no sense whatsoever.

I was SHOCKED. SHOCKED. SHOCKED. that the cowboys chose to extend him. Seemed like the tea leaves were pointing in a different direction.

Deep hole now for the team.

End of the day what he says has merit. You can drag Cooper Rush. You can talk trash to Dak haters, but Jimmy Johnson knows how to win superbowls and he knows what it takes and doesn’t take. He’s earned that respect!
He does, but he's also a talking head (paid to give an opinion) and talking heads live in the moment. They can go from being completely supportive of a player when he's coming off a near-MVP system to the player is just OK and shouldn't have been paid when a season is going poorly and that player is now out for the rest of the year.

It's always easy to make decisions in hindsight, especially when you don't have to take blame if it contradicts an earlier opinion.

Back when Dak got his extension, Jimmy said, “Like him or not, Dak is the guy. He will be the guy, he’s been great during the regular season. Everybody says ‘Well you gotta win playoff games,’ well give him a chance to win playoff games.”

He also said when asked what Dak needed to win playoff games, “Surround him with a better-supporting cast. I’m not sure about their running backs right now, but they’ve got some outstanding receivers, they’ve got a good tight end, they‘ve got a good football team, they’ve got a good defense.”

How did Jimmy Johnson do in Miami when he didn't have the best QB, best weapons, best Oline and best Defense to assist that QB?

Here. I will help refresh your brain:

Head Coach - Miami Dolphins:

1996: 8 - 8 record: 0 playoffs
1997: 9 - 7 record: 0 wins - 1 loss playoffs
1998: 10 - 6 record: 1 win - 1 loss playoffs
1999: 9 - 7 record: 1 win - 1 loss playoffs
2000: RETIRED

Jimmy proved that without the best QB, the best Oline, the best WRs, the best RB and the best Defense, he couldn't reach a Super Bowl, much less win one.

I rest my case.

I guess it's time for the Dak fans to trash our sb winning coach. I was a Dak fan at one time. I thought we could win a sb with him. I gave him a chance. He's not that player anymore. He is snake bit in big games. And now he is injury prone. The team is now crippled because of his contract. We're never going to win anything with him as qb. We are doomed for the next 4 years. Of course Jerry and Stephen are the real culprits. They don't know how to build a sb winning team and they caved into Dak in the end. There is no hope for this franchise.

Of course he won't read what I said. Of course he will milk Jerry for all he's worth. Does that mean it should change what he SHOULD do for his own health and the good of his family? No. But hey, continue to cheer for that perennial choker all you want.

BOOM!!! This! ^^^^

Everyone should read this. The hypocrisy of Jimmy Johnson! How quickly he forgets what he said about Dak and Jerry's decision to give Dak a record setting new contract extension at the beginning of this season. Notice how no one (other than me) have liked your historically correct comment. Bunch of biased and blind haters in here.
