I kinda knew Vrabel would be open for a DC job and feel he would have made an impact as DC here. Of course, Jerry's kind of coach is one who will take his BS and make him feel warm and fuzzy. One who does not threaten his status of the Grand Poobah... which is why Jerry is still on the outside looking in when it comes to SB week. Vrabel will land on his feet and be fine, will probably get a HC opportunity next year after the next crop of firings occur.

Vrabel is a 3-4 guy. This tells me that Mike doesn’t want to transition to a 3-4 in a prove it year. If he had an extension after back to back to back 12 win seasons, maybe he’d move to a 3-4 this year and risk a step back in transition.

He’s the guy that makes the most sense. He could take over as HC if Mike got fired, too. It makes too much sense.

Although according to what I’ve read from Tennessee fans, Vabrel is a hard *** with the front office, so Jerry is probably not interested.
