That is weird. He was on the active roster the longest of any of the players that ended up on the practice squad.

Yes, I like Bishop a lot, but they had Coleman on the 53 for significantly more games than Bishop.

Maybe Coleman just didn't show anything and Rod and crew had seen enough....he had every opportunity to seize playing time down the stretch and got none.

They cut him when they needed to bring another DB up. And then with T McClain's ankle, Bishop made more sense to bring up than Coleman. I think the team likes both of these guys fairly well, and it's just been a matter of opportunities.

Either way, I'd like to see them both get a full NFL offseason. Getting stronger and building on the reps they earned this year would be a good thing. I like having young depth with upside at the bottom of that position group.

I don't know what they could be, but it's certainly within his right to do that after spending most of the year on the practice squad.

I doubt that. He's a 3 tech DT. That limits him to certain teams. Cowboys probably are the poorest of those teams at that position.

Bishop surprisingly had a solid game vs GB. If he can be a solid backup immediately next season while continuing to improve, that's a nice bonus. all we need is 10-15 high effort snaps from him.
