When it comes to romo, most national writers and former players just say anything and most of the time just make stuff up.

Rodney Harrison said Sunday he prepared for romo when he was in San Diego as a guy who would throw the game away.

Interesting since he was with sd from 94-02.

Studying eastern Illinois tape must be the reason the chargers were so bad when he was there.

And tony dingy just makes stuff up all the time, that guy s completely useless as an analyst and was a spare as a head coach.

Rodney Harrison played vs Romo once in 2007.

NE beat DAL 48-27. Romo did throw a 4th QTR INT (Seau) with 3:54 remaining and Dallas trailing by 14. Not exactly "with the game on the line"

Btw, after the INT, the Patriots took over at the DAL20 w/ 3:45 remaining. They managed to kill 3:26 gaining 20yds and scoring a TD.

You sound as crazy as Harrison and Dungy. Dungy was a spare head coach? In what galaxy? r

Because not everyone played the same number of games, the more telling numer is interception percentage in the 4th qtr.

This will blow you away....
Romo's rate is only 2.5%. That is the 2nd LOWEST of anyone on that long list.
Classic example of some out there magnifying his flaws to the extreme.
He is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what Beureline stated.....he actually throws LESS 4th qtr int than almost anyone he's seen.

Unbelievable

You do realize back in Jaws era DBs could bump push and bang receivers all over the field until ball was thrown. And i don't think anybody ever thought Jaws was a HOFer anyway.

Don't you see the huge drop off from his regular season QB rating to playoff rating? That's the point.

I can't speak to Dungy as a HC (though I suspect he was a bit overrated, myself), but as a commentator, he just comes out with one stupid comment after another. He's demeanor is boring to start with, but then when he just coughs up an obvious platitude or comes out with a strong opinion that he can't back up with a decent argument, it makes you wonder how he accomplished a significant amount as a HC in the first place.

I don't deny him that he's not a great analyst. Atleast not to me. But you can't deny his accomplishments as a head coach.

We do know he's thrown ints at the end of 2 of his last 6 games played.

We do know his record since 2010 is 21-22.

"The Cowboys are 21-22 in Romo's starts since 2010" .. I handled that for ya!

I like Dungy, but what all did he accomplish as a HC? He had arguably the best QB to ever play the game and he won one superbowl. Gruden won a superbowl with a team he failed to win it with.

I'm not saying he's a bad head coach, I'd say he underperformed though.

Romo also has the highest TD percentage on the list, the highest completion percentage on the list, the highest yards per attempt on the list and (of course) the highest passer rating on the list -- BY FAR.

Romo's fourth-quarter TD percentage = 6.5%. Next best on that list = Philip Rivers, 6.0%.

Romo's fourth-quarter completion percentage = 64.2. Next best on that list = Kurt Warner, 63.7.

Romo's fourth-quarter YPA = 8.48. Next best on that list = Kurt Warner, 7.81.

Romo's fourth-quarter passer rating = 102.0. Next best on that list = Tom Brady, 92.0.

The only elite quarterback I noticed being missing from the list is Aaron Rodgers. He would beat Romo's fourth-quarter TD percentage (Rodgers is at 6.8%), but he also has a HIGHER interception percentage (2.7%), a worse completion percentage (63.1), a worse YPA (7.8) and a worse passer rating (98.8).

more that shows just how incredibly dense you are. But like most haters, reality has no impact on you.

like a D that gave up 48 points before Romo's INT. OR that the boys have not been a very good team since 2010. You like to ignore little FACTS like that in your desperate bid to unseat ufcrules as the #1 Romo hater on this board.

I still have trouble believing these haters are serious. They never post any facts or respond to these overwhelming facts.
It is understandable why they don't though.

Both Mannings, Brady, Brees, Rivers, Aikman, Marino to name a few are above Romo on that list....

The thing that always ticks me off about this list, and anything 4th quarter QB related, is the fact that Drew Brees has been consistently bad in the clutch and always, always gets a free pass. Nobody ever talks about all the picks he throws late in games and it drives me absolutely bonkers.

This from a quarterback who couldn't carry Romo's jock. Beurlein crapped away his career with a bad attitude and poor work ethic.

Beurlein had everything, and did nothing with it. Romo came out of nowhere and became a top-flight NFL quarterback.
