Jack Whittaker had $30000 stolen from his car more than once. He didn't care. He was a big lottery winner.

He’s really good at the cap if you look at their goal. Their goal is make money and not spending goes a long way in making money. If your goal is winning a SB it’s not great but that’s not their goal
There is a minimum NFL franchises must spend on a rolling four year period. The Cowboys’ owners don’t get to not pay players and pocket the difference.

This is actually one of the more fascinating conversations I've had pop up in the last few weeks. In the modern era the mega contracts have gotten so large that they have become a problem for some owners. Jerry Jones had to put up north of $330M for Dak and Lamb a few months ago. That's more than their annual operating income after taxes. It’s extremely difficult to run a sports franchise these days on the teams income alone. The majority of money to be made for owners is in the valuation of the team. Not saying we should feel sorry for these owners when they cry poor, but they often need to utilize outside investments or minority owners to fund their payroll. It’s a major advantage a team like the Rams have with an owner with extremely deep pockets.
Several times over the last 11 months, I’ve tried to explain that “all in” meant that he was going to write a couple of big signing bonus checks to keep what they have….not necessarily do everything possible to fix the roster into a winning one.

Is Dallas the only team that has a part-time GM?
Let's be grateful that 82 year old Jerry is just part-time or a figure head GM, otherwise he and Lurch (Stephen) would sink-hole our team to a depth that would reach the earth's core.

the Jones family is the worst thing to happen to Texas, terrible and greedy humans the lot of them.winning the SB is not their agenda and it never will.i hope we can force them to sell the team because they will be happy to win 9 or 10 games every year and that's it.

…and the best team in Division loses two or their three best players…I think our team as currently constructed would be in the running to win the NFE West. That Division isn’t very good right now. So I don’t give the Rams that much credit.

All that being said I am not happy at all with how the Cowboys are managed. Their lack of a commitment to a consistent football philosophy will continue to only yield average teams - which is good for pocketbooks and appeases only the casual fans.
The Cowboys have been beating up weak arse NFCE teams for most of their wins for a lot of years.

It is not possible or sustainable for the Cowboys organization to do these things because they are owned and run by clowns.

We got no HC or GM. They got the Super Bowl to back it up so once again the Jones are the laughing stock of the league right now.

Not just that. Tuck leaves out that the rams went to a Super Bowl, switched QB’s and then won a Super Bowl.

Let’s also mention the fact that the Chiefs, despite having the best QB in the entire league, are an aggressive team that signs starting OL and starting defensive players regularly in free agency.

The aggressive teams compete and win for championships.

The Rams will probably get to another SB before the Boys even sniff a division round win. The Rams were down for a couple of years but are back in the hunt again, in todays NFL rebuilds can happen quickly if you have an FO is aggressive and can play the FA game. Could McVeigh have pulled this off in Dallas with this GM? IDK......too many egos in Dallas.

Yeah. I seriously doubt McVeigh could do that here. The Jones' are in charge....enough said.
