If we draft a WR this year he'll be competing with Hurd/Austin/Crayton for any playing time. We need a CB, a guy that can replace Henry when he finally wears down. Reeves is a filler and a good 3rd/4th corner, but he's not the long term answer.
Barber needs a compliment, and if you're gonna go RB you might as well invest in Run DMC - make the committment, and give up the picks. He has done it year in and year out with a poor supporting cast, no passing game, and hes done it against the best conference in college football. The Jones' love him, and why invest all that money in a big O-Line just for pass protection. Let's make this team scary good, let's not just draft for depth.
I see us drafting between 19-22 in the 1st rd. The top WR(Kelly, Jackson) should be gone by then however I see one of the top corners(Mike Jenkins, Malcolm Jenkins, Antione Cason) still there.Natedawg44;1856935 said:I love it and I know its a long time from now, but I'm afraid Bowman won't be there at 31 and we may have to take Johnson at 31 because I don't think he will be there either at the end of round 2.
There's alot of ridiculous guys out there that predict thats exactly what we are doing. Personally to not address this position is more ridiculous than trading our future for a RB when we have one that is capable of getting us where we need to go.TwoDeep3;1857352 said:With the money already spent in the defensive backfield, and the raise Hamlin will get. To expect this team to get a CB in the first is ridiculous.
To the guy who wanted a link to the "rumor." Spags wrote an article back after the draft that stated when Jerry and Stephen traded for the Cleveland 1st, Stephen turned to his Dad and said, "That could be the McFadden pick."
JOnes was interviewed a couple of weeks agao on the NFL channel prior to the GB game. When deion Sanders asked what his next move would be, he said he wanted a WOW offensive player.
Not sayin' one equals another. But just sayin'.

Now the last pick in the 1st rd should be a reciever because of the value still at the RB position. Guys that I think should still be around are Sweed, Bowman, Hardy, Doucett and Manningham.
Now our second rd pick is where we can call Parcells up. Miami has 2 2nd rd picks and you know Parcells wants some of ole boys. Here are my 2 options I would throw at our ole coach:
1) We trade Fasano and Carpenter and some peanuts for for the 1st pick in the 2nd rd or
2)We trade Fasano and our 2nd rd pick for the 1st pick in the 2nd rd
With that pick we take Chris Johnson.
