Two flat-out lies Troy Aikman told last night

I was watching the Manning cast & the first replay they showed did make it look pretty clear that he was in. Other shots did make it look closer but I can understand Troy saying he was in.

I was watching the Manning cast, and all they were doing was blaming the pass. No mention of a penalty. What they did mention, and what I saw as well, the ball was out. That should not be an interception.
The weirdest thing was that CD was running a pick for Ferguson, why would Rush even throw that

Flat out lies is inaccurate.

Obviously you may disagree with Troy’s opinion, but neither of these calls by Aikman were lies.

Officiating in the NFL sucks overall. But I was fine with them overturning this TD. His foot looks in to me.

In your own words
“his foot practically hugging the white out of bounds line”
Since you know what practically means you agree it’s the right call as a TD, it’s what instant replay challenge is supposed to correct, and it did.
Aikman was correct also.
The call on the field was out of bounds.

That's not indisputable evidence to overturn that call and you know it.

Why lie?

And yet you calling him a liar :) real fan there...
Troy also said he thinks McCarthy should be back next season.

You agree with him on that too?

I don't. I think Troy knows damn well McCarthy needs to go, but is, again, lying.

Troy can't stand Jerry, like most of us. My theory is he's overly negative towards the Cowboys (perhaps even subconsciously) and enjoys seeing Jerry lose like this.

Before you say "that's crazy talk", think about how pissed you'd be if McCarthy returns as HC next season. That's what Troy just endorsed publicly.

You really think he wants what's best for this team?

Even accepting the original notion that both plays should have had different outcomes, it's pretty strong language to say Aikman LIED, when he could have just been WRONG, which are two different things. One is deliberate, the other, accidental.

Beyond that, while only the players and coaches know, it looks like a pick play, in which case, why is the QB throwing to the guy delivering the pick? That's a glaring error. And on the inbounds/out of bounds play, even IF he's out of bounds, they still are likely to score. So, what difference does it make? Why get so riled up over a minor technicality?

That and the fumble they overturned. That guy tucked the ball under his arm and squared up for contact. Diggs just got there quicker than he was expecting but that was absolutely "a football move." As for the Brown TD.. I thought he was in but I would not have been shocked if they had ruled him out as they did in the first place. It was close enough that I would have stayed with the call either way.
Except he literally never tucked it. He is bobbling it the entire time. His "possession" time amounts to less than .1 seconds. That is nowhere near enough time to say he possessed the ball. That was the most obvious incomplete pass ever and people trying to argue it are just admitting they do not know the rules. That would qualify as an incomplete pass by any rule that has existed in the past 30 years.

I knew Troy disliked Jerry, but MAN!

1) Cooper Rush's INT.

CeeDee Lamb gets blasted (unintentionally) with the ball in the air, by a DB who happened to be chasing a different receiver at the time. It was an accidental collision, but still a collision.

Troy said it was perfectly legal and not a penalty!
:lmao2:

Rules experts... show me where in the rulebook it states that a DB can blast a WR with the ball in the air, SO LONG AS he was chasing a different receiver at the time.

Something tells me this "rule" has never existed and is something Troy simply made up, in order to legitimize the bogus INT he just witnessed.

2) Chase Brown's tightrope walk TD.

The call on the field was that he stepped out of bounds before scoring. I've seen the replays from every single angle. I've studied screenshots from every angle.

There is NO UNIVERSE in which there was anything conclusive to overturn the call on the field. It was insanely close.

Troy, Joe Buck and the "rules expert" then collectively decided to lie to the nation and pretend it was OBVIOUSLY a TD and certainly conclusive!
:lmao2:

Naturally, the refs agreed and gave Cincy the TD. Complete and utter horse****.
yeah I have seen this and worse in other games where announcer back up these insanely bad calls, no calls etc, like it is obvious.
I saw one where the guys foot was half out of bounds, and no one said anything about it.
Makes you wonder why lol.

You literally did join the convo.

We're literally conversing in this thread.

Are you okay?
:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

You might want to crawl back into bed, get up, and take another stab at this "life" thing today.
My lord, the Cowboys lost. They’re not good. Move past your angst. Fans of other teams manage to deal with down years. Cowboys fans should be able to deal with it, too. Aikman and Buck lied. That’s what the fanbase has been reduced to.

Aikman is a tool as an announcer.
He doesn't hide his hatred of jerruh very well.
Always seems to show he has an agenda against the very organization that made him what he is.

This is what Rockport used to do when he had a bad day: invent spit to argue with people about to feel better, lol.
I'm starting to think some of these "members" are just bots meant to stir up action on the message board.
I mean, nearly everyone here sees it differently than the OP.

Or maybe.....just maybe this organization has some flaws to it that are easily seen and Aikman is speaking the obvious?

Huh?.....I thought it's Dak always getting put down.......house demolition/renovations/driving to Walmart/4 water bottles/In the drive-thru at Sonic......c'mon Gangsta.
I've seen Emmitt being put down on here just because he had some criticism of Dak. I've seen Irvin put down, who usually is a Cowboys homer, by the same crowd. Aikman has been called an average quarterback by the same crowd. All for someone who probably won't bring enough post season accolades to be remembered in the long wrong. Sad thing is, at the end of your career you are who your record says you are, be it Dak, Romo, or any other cowboy. That window that opened up in 2016 is pretty much closed at this point.
