Gave up 40 points to Dak? Not gave up 40 points to Dallas?
This may sound petty but I’m concerned about the defense. Yes they got 4 Turnovers, but Turnovers are fluky thing. They can get 4 one game and then 0 the next. Turnovers are great, and I’ll take them, but some of the better teams won’t make those same mistakes. I want to see punts, when teams punt that tells me they were stopped. Can we get stops, not turnovers but stops. Driving ending sacks and tackles short of the sticks is what I want to see. We can go into a game hoping that quez Watkins doesn’t want to fight for a ball and take it from him. That happened twice in eagles game. If that’s Deebo or Ayuik that’s a completion. Our Defense needs to roll it back to the October Defense. They have slowed the DE’s down to help in the run. They need to speed them back up. Dak has got to quit with the picks. But he diced them up after that.
Of course haters will say we one because they had a backup qb in. Last game we had a backup in.
I say our Defense needs to improve but they kept us in the game with the turnovers.
One has to wonder what the first meeting outcome would have been with Dak playing.
If we don't get those four turnovers, we don't win that game. The team that wins the turnover battle usually wins. We won. Be happy and move on.Two issues that I can't quite wrap my head around in regard to the excuses, or alibis being made about the Eagles win.
1. Dak Prescott threw for over 300 yards in the game. He is the only QB to throw for over 300 yards against the Eagles this season. Kyler Murray is the next QB on the list at 250 yards.
2. The Eagles have the second best defense in the league. The same defense that gave up 300 yards and 40 points to Dak. After being spotted 10 points in the first quarter.
Now some may make the case the Eagles were missing players on their vaunted defense. But the laundry list of Cowboys who are on the walking wounded list is fairly significant, as well.
Hurts is a phenomenal player when he runs. That makes the RPO deadly. But the Dallas offense put up 40 points, and with a small bit of luck could have pushed that to 44 or more.
In both games this season, one team had their starting QB out for the game. The team with their starter won the game.
In the case of the Eagles, they still had the number two defense on the field. And yet the Dallas offense won the game. Even with the Eagles offense - who still had all their skill players but Hurts - put up 28 points.
If health is not a factor, why should the Cowboys fear the Eagles in a head to head rematch in the playoffs?
This was basically an exhibition game for them.
Philly already has effectively wrapped up everything. The division, the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, home field. Dallas had more to play for.
The Eagles were missing key players, including the QB, then lost more of them early in the game.
And if Tyler Biadasz doesn't rip away that Dak fumble, the Eagles still clinch the formality last Sunday.
Philly will beat New Orleans Sunday and have two weeks to rest up for Dallas in the second round.
Then the real game happens between these two.

The only real concern is the venue. Believe it or not, Dallas is significantly better at home than they are on the road. Can this offense travel? That’s the question
They traveled pretty well to Minnesota.
However mid to late January in Philly is a different story.
Or Hurts playing the second? One has to wonder what the first meeting outcome would have been with Dak playing.

Sure, but they finish with two at home against the Saints and Commanders.LOL.
They HAVE to win one more. They came with Champagne ready to party.
You are so negative.
This vv
If Tyler Biadasz doesn't rip away that Dak fumble....
You don't understand the difference?
And what was it for us when Rush was playing against them, throwing 3 picks giving them short fields.
This is the 2nd thread you posted this, in. Come up with a legit post not using double standards.
They shouldn't fear anyone because they can beat anyone, but they can lose to anyone too. It just depends which version of this Jekyll and Hyde team shows up that day.
If if's and but's were candy and nuts, everyday would be christmas.Sure, but they finish with two at home against the Saints and Commanders.
They wanted to make statement, sure, not they were short-handed. And if not for Biadasz bailing us out, the Eagles drink that champagne.
You have to understand what you saw.
Exactly. If if's and but's were candy and nuts, everyday would be christmas.
IF Barr catches that gimmee, the game was over way sooner. IF Dak doesn't hand them 7, Eagles get "blowed" out. IF Diggs doesn't gamble...they likely don't have 10 more points.
