This was basically an exhibition game for them.

Philly already has effectively wrapped up everything. The division, the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, home field. Dallas had more to play for.

The Eagles were missing key players, including the QB, then lost more of them early in the game.

And if Tyler Biadasz doesn't rip away that Dak fumble, the Eagles still clinch the formality last Sunday.

Philly will beat New Orleans Sunday and have two weeks to rest up for Dallas in the second round.

Then the real game happens between these two.
is that what you think? an exibition game? they are one game ahead of Vikings with two games to go.

I didn't see you complain the first time they beat us, when we had our back up QB....

and don't forget we were missing key players too, but I guess their key players are more important than our key players.

and if Dak throws a little harder over Sweat, we beat them 40-27....but some how the if game you play is always favoring the other team.

yeah, keep p!ssing on the cowboys you closet eagles fan...........

what a misreable fan, when you hope cowboys lose. sad sad sad human being, when you can't even enjoy the cowboys win, because you hatred of Dak fogs your brain in every turn. you would rather see cowboys lose than see cowboys win with Dak....how pathetic can you be..

perhaps you are a closet eagles fan... so be brave and come out of the closet.

If if's and but's were candy and nuts, everyday would be christmas.

IF Barr catches that gimmee, the game was over way sooner. IF Dak doesn't hand them 7, Eagles get "blowed" out. IF Diggs doesn't gamble...they likely don't have 10 more points.
somehow their if's always works for the opponent. cowboys bad plays are because they are bad and should have happened.

Yeah I LOL at the thought of it being an exhibition game. They have more pressure from Min and SF than they do Dallas for that one seed. It isn’t wrapped up yet.

The playoffs will be a different animal, in the cold, in hostile Philly.

But the Cowboys needed this win for confidence. This team still has some key positions filled by youth, and they need to 100% believe in what the Cowboys are doing.

But in all likelihood, for the Cowboys to earn the right to play the Iggles a 3rd time, they're going to have to win 2 road playoff games. No small task, especially with Quinn, Moore, and McCarthy setting the table and calling plays.

So right now, let's just see if this team can beat Brady (who has never lost to the Cowboys) and Todd Bowles (whose defenses often shut down Cowboys offenses). In this coaching matchup, the Cowboys lose...so the players have to play a REALLY good game to get the win. First things first.

They traveled pretty well to Minnesota.
However mid to late January in Philly is a different story.

The thing about weather games in January is that it affects both teams. Now that I live here in DFW I no longer feel like the Cowboys are a bunch of Sunshine Boys.. It gets coldern hell down here. If they have to play a 20 degree weather game in Philly I don't feel like it would be a shock to their system like I once thought. And let's not forget Hurts is a Texas boy and a lot of his teammates are Southern kids too. In a windy game I take Dak over Hurts any day. Hurts is much improved as a passer.. but he's still several years behind Dak in that department. In a schlobberknocker game.. give me Zeke over Sanders.. and our 4 tight end rotation over their one stud. If Tyron is back up to full speed come playoff time I would put our line back on par with theirs. And better than theirs if Johnson doesn't make it back. Still watching Williams and Hargrave push Biadasz and McGovern into Dak's lop over and over got tiresome on Saturday. We need to figure out something to do about that.

How cold will it be that day? enquiring minds want to know.

They still need one more win. The longer they keep fiddling around and take an “L” the pressure and injuries will mount making it harder to secure the 1 seed. They left this game with key injuries including on the O line.
Thank you. A lot of people talking like the Eagles wrapped everything up already, they desperately wanted to win that game, the defense was hitting and flying around. And now the pressure is mounting.

You don't understand the difference?

Wow.

The Eagles aren't unbeatable, but the proof is the next time, not Saturday. We lost that chance against Green Bay and Jax.

I KNOW the difference, apparently you do not.

What’s the status of Gardner Johnson for them? That’s a massive drop off for them at safety going from him to Blankenship.
He has been IRd for the rest of the regular season, not sure how that applies to post season though.

There are scenarios where they can lose the one seed to teams besides Dallas. Every game matters for them if Min and SF keep winning.

I like the positivity, but we won because 3 of our defensive players were able to rip the ball out of the Eagles' hands for turnovers, and the 4th one was a miscue on their part that just happened to bounce right to our guy. Maybe the defense stops them those 4 times anyway, but who really believes that would happen?

Luck is a part of most games, but it's rarely such a big part that it makes up for crappy defensive play throughout most of the game.
