TY Hilton and a Calloway need to play

The way Dak has been throwing the long ball lately I don't know if Bob Hayes would make a difference. I have no idea what is wrong with Dak but he struggles to get those deep balls deep enough or on target. That 3rd and 10 in regulation with about a minute to go against Jacksonville was a good example. If he got that ball in bounds just a foot or two, Brown has a chance to catch it. He was in front of the receiver and in position to make the catch. The week before against the Texans, Dak underthrew 2 deep balls badly and Brown managed to come back and make one for a big gain. What happened to the Dak that used to lead CeeDee and Gallup on those deep sideline routes?

slow processing skills. He might be able to see things but at a slower rate than most NFL quarterbacks.

Yeah I think you can go down two scores and still run the football. Down 3? I wouldn't. But this team will air it out regardless of score.

The rule of thumb should be as long as your number of expected remaining possessions is greater than the number of scores down you keep the running game in play. On the flip side if the number of your opponent's expected remaining possessions is less than the number of scores you are leading you never call another pass. If Quinn had followed that simple rule in the Super Bowl he'd have a ring as a head coach. He was up 4 scores (28-3) with 20 minutes to play. If he ran the ball every down the rest of that game he would have eaten at least 3 minutes per possession. Leaving Brady and Co. 8 minutes to score 4 times. The only way they can accomplish that would be if you turn the ball over. Which as we all remember, Matt Ryan was happy to oblige. Then they compounded it by continuing to throw the ball. They could have kneeled down every down after going up 28-3 and won that game.

Why these coaches don't understand the simple math of these situations will always be a mystery to me. I say the same thing about McCarthy. On that last drive in regulation he should have put Turpin in at the wildcat with instructions to run around and use up as much time as possible until they tackled him. Turn it into a punt return situation .. I think he could have eaten up 12-15 seconds per snap and forced JAX to use all three timeouts.. Then we put the ball back to them with maybe 30 seconds and no timeouts left. If we do that we're having a much different conversation about that game today.

If you think the Cowboys want to be a running team you must watching very closely. They SHOULD be a running team but in most games they are not.
It does seem as though they are running a little more than recent past. Staying with it later into the game.

Having a good defense is part of that strategy, and they just blew it last week, and wasn’t the first time.

Being fast doesn't necessarily equate to being good.
Ty is great in his prime. He’s only 32. He don’t go from 4.36 to slow at 32. Even if he’s 4.50, that’s fast enough. I think he’s still 4.4 ish. D Jax , terry glenn and others kept their sore in their 30s this team has needed speed since Glenn got hurt. Dez never had a burner to help. Give lamb a good receiver with at least 4.4 speed. That’ll unlock this offense. Ty was fast last year.

I’d give Calloway a chance. He’s 25 . He was good early but he had no q b in cle. He has legit deep speed. He’s a faster washibgtin

TY still has some speed but more important he know how to gain separate from the defender by how he runs his routs.

I'm sure TY is still good. I wasn't referring to him when I said fast doesn't necessarily mean good.

I forgot they signed Calloway. Ton of talent. His limitations were between the ears. That would be a steal if he has his shh together.

I thought we'd have seen him by now. Considering we've added Hilton, either we look at Calloway as more of a next-year acquisition (but we'd have to re-sign him for that) or he hasn't shown enough to earn a call-up.

Yeah, let's toss these broken down "not-half-the -player-they-used-to-be" leftovers on the field and see if something happens. Why not?

......the guys nobody wanted all season long until some hopelessly desperate team convinced themselves that these current couch potatoes could save their season.

Am I beginning to acquire a rather skeptical outlook?

Guys thought terry glenn was broken down. As soon as he got a coach and q b who believed in him, he put up multiple 1000 yard seasons in his 30s

I like his game. He has the traits t o broke out at around 26 or 27. Marvin Harrison became elite at 27.

They’re the two fastest receivers other than Turpin on the team. They have the speed to scare defenses and open it up fir lamb. I’d live to know why this team refuses to use fast receivers.
Don't care who it is, but somebody needs to do something standout quickly, pump some life back into this team.
