Actually nothing is aligning for him to come to Dallas. Not a single thing. I know you like him, I like him too. It's time to let go because this is not going to happen no matter how hard you wish for it nor how much you play Ouija.

There are 32 teams
CB market is dried up
Law will not be medically cleared till mid June.

We need a FS and Law is a Parcells player - don't get too giddy yet ;)

His broken foot is the reason - he will be surely signed as soon as he is medically cleared which will be in June/July.

Shot to sign here > longshot but not zero.

Wrong NORS he got caught b4 he broke his leg it happened 4/04 not 05 before last season......

Now back to the postons here this article is about shawn Merriman and I just cut out part that consides with this topic....

"I have no idea if they (the Cowboys) found out about Poston or that a change of agent was coming," Smith said. "Some teams may not draft a player because of his agent, but we will take any player, regardless of his agent. The player comes first."

Now of cource they would say the agent doesn't matter now that they are screwed but I bet B4 they were singing a different tune......

Jets and Steelers drafted CB.
Miami maybe -

Dallas in my opinion is in the game with a Parcells player discount. It might be in Laws best interest to sign a 1 year deal with us and at just turned 31, start a FS career that could extend his career at least 5 more years.

I'm Parcells, its Ty, You are the captain of my D, I'll give you incentive laced deal - run my D....

The Jets corners:
29 Abraham, Donnie CB 5-10 192 31 10 Years East Tennessee State
36 Barrett, David CB 5-10 195 27 6 Years Arkansas
22 Davison, Andrew CB 5-11 185 28 3 Years Kansas
24 Mickens, Ray CB 5-8 180 32 10 Years Texas A&M
21 Strait, Derrick CB 5-11 189 24 2 Years Oklahoma
34 Miller, Justin CB/KR 5-10 202 21 Rookie Clemson

If Abraham is contemplating retirement, they have a bunch of unknowns and scrubs. Remember Andrew Davison?

Pittsburgh corners:
25 Duff, Vontez CB 5-11 204 3/8/82 1 Notre Dame
20 McFadden, Bryant CB 5-11 190 11/21/81 R Florida State
27 Williams, Willie LCB 5-9 194 12/26/70 13 Western Carolina
21 Colclough, Ricardo LCB 5-11 186 4/18/82 2 Tusculum
29 Iwuoma, Chidi LCB 5-8 184 2/19/78 5 California
26 Townsend, Deshea RCB 5-10 190 9/8/75 8 Alabama
24 Taylor, Ike RCB 6-1 191 5/5/80 3 LA-Layfayette

Pretty much a bunch of garbage even with the newly drafted McFadden.

Chiefs, Jets and Steelers mention:
http://story.scout.com/a.z?s=162&p=2&c=376230

Dolphins:
http://www.sportsnetwork.com/default.asp?c=sportsnetwork&page=/nfl/news/ABN3887295.htm
http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sports/11600539.htm

Steelers, Dolphins, Jets and Colts mentions
http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/articles/2005/05/01/laws_plan_heal_then_deal/

Also interesting to note, Law lives in Miami.

Not trying to say there is no way it will happen, but just to point out that even though the Steelers and Jets drafted a corner, they are still interested. The Steelers could really use an upgrade if they want to make serious push. KC might want Law and Surtain to try to push in Vermeil's last year.

I think there will be plenty of suitors for him when he is healthy and I am kind of skeptical that he would come to Dallas to play FS when he has shown he is all about the money and he can make more at corner. JMO

IMO, the success or failure of our defense in 2005 does not depend on whether we sign Ty Law or not.

If we sign the guy at a reasonable price and he can pass a physical and play...fine. If he signs elsewhere or retires...fine.

Why does anyone even care? :whatever:

On the other side of the coin, there are 32 teams, he's a CB and CB is always in demand. By the time he's medically cleared to play a decision on FS will have long been made and it won't be him.

Don't get giddy at all.

I'm with you on this. This guy is supposed to be covering wide recievers who run 4.3 40's, and he gets run down by the police?

And how many police have you seen that would be considered athletes?

I see them eating Krispy Cremes at 7/11 ... they definitely shouldn't be walking down Ty Law.

I want to see this guy who caught him.

The guy who caught him might have had an assist being that he was carrying a piece of metal on his hip. Yeah, I'd let myself get caught too. But then I wouldn't have run either,...but u get my point.

Sig: All Juke. I had nothing to do with it.

I was just saying that basically, he prolly got caught or "allowed" himself to get caught cuz the dude had his piece on him. That's all. Nothing special.

I can see your point but at the same time he had that peice B4 Law (no pun intended) started to run and Law knew that. He just had a brain fart we all do some more than others.

Moving along:

Just to be clear I don't dislike Law he's been a great CB I just don't think he will be that big of a help here and with who his agents are we all pretty much know BP and JJ will not deal with them so why people keep insisting he will end up here is ignorant. I read a weak or so ago that NE had offered him a contract and signing bonus that he would make about 6 mil this year and he hasn't accepted but considering he was supposed to make around 12mil that would be a good discount for them. But point is if he wouldn't accept that what makes you (anyone who wants him here) think we would offer more or any where close for that matter?

And by the time he let the cop catch up to him, he'd already gotten rid of whatever it was that he didn't want them to find in his possession to begin with.
