Ty Law and all teams work on tip drills. Amazing how our FS's and CB's don't get many of them! Yes - another free trip for Ty Law to Hawaii - thats just one lucky dude.

A Free safety move for a legandary ballhawk like Law is a natural progression. With the lack of quality QB's in this league and getting to work his trade against Bledstud again in practice he'd be an instant impact FS.

I said one Law thread every 2-3 weeks...not 2 or 3 per week. Although it does seem like that much.

Still doesn't change the fact that Law isn't a FS. And yes...he was one lucky dude.

1) He played last year for $2.5M
2) He had 10 picks last year and I heard all the money reasons why we could not sign Ty Law.

He could be had for a $4M cap hit and we have $20-$25M.
Same Cowboys that paid VT $5M in 2004 and Al Singleton $2M Last year.


Money is no issue in getting Law. Issue is another team giving him CB Job. But Law wants to win - BP needs to pick up the phone

He played for $2.5M+$1M roster bonus, and also had incentives worth up to $4M. He made at least $3.5M, and that was coming off an injury that left the Jets with basically no competition when they signed him.

Coming off a full season where he picked off 10 passes and exceeded the expectations of 99.5% of people out there in NFL land, he'll want more than $3.5M especially with the Postons as his agents, regardless of his age.

You seem to be operating under some continuing delusion that the Postons aren't his agents, he'll give Parcells a discount, and he'll take FS money when he can make almost twice that at CB.

I will say in Nors' defense that he starts A LOT of threads, and very few of them are about Ty Law.

In fact, if you do a search of Nors-started threads, there are at least 20 PAGES of them! And a tiny fraction of them are about Ty Law. In fact, looking at recent weeks, he's pimped a lot of other players for Free Safety other than Law.

I think maybe he's concerned about the FS position, as many of us are, and thinks Law would be a good solution. Heck, if it was workable financially, I'd be excited to see it.

Now if you're talking about the 3-4... well he's clearly obsessed about that, I doubt even he would deny that!

Yes - FS has been a concern of mine since Woodson retired. And we dropped the ball last 2 years. Time to fix it - I think Law is a viable option and as you stated - I have already laid out 10 other viable FS options - mainly draft driven as well

Go sign him. I love all the attempts to beat down a corner with 10 picks! tHats funny. I wonder how many CB's with 10 picks in a season and multiple Pro Bowls on resume are not in Hall of fame?

$10M SB is about right - So we can have him around my number - $4M cap hit. Thats peanuts for one of the foremost thieving and shutin downfield enforcers in the game.:laugh2:

I have never said we shouldn't sign him Then again, I haven't said we shouldn't sign a ton of other players either

This reminds me of the one guy at the party. We all know the guy. He's walking around telling everyone that he's not drunk though he's plowed through countless beers, he's perfectly fine, good buzz, doesn't need any help.
