No one says that.

What you've misinterpreted is that you can't continuously draft players from smaller schools, as there is a reason they went to a smaller school. A high percentage of players from smaller schools bust, so you absolutely must look at each player individually and determine his chance of success, as well as doing a deep dive into his inefficiencies to analyze whether his traits will transfer to the NFL level.
 Man, come on, I've heard that stereotype more times than I can count. People think talent only comes out of the big-name schools. Just look at the Jeanty thread in the draft zone. There are posts in there that "Boise State doesn't play anybody". You’re moving the goalposts on me. I didn’t say anything about only drafting from small schools. I’m just saying that most people continuously dismiss players from smaller programs. Talent can show up anywhere, and consistency and talent aren’t limited to the big-name schools.

He is starting to understand how good/dominant he can be. He's just scratching the surface......
I think him and Beebee will be top shelf long term foundational pieces.

LT, RT, and RG are all still problems. Let’s hope Guyton can shake off the rough start he’s had to his career and grow into his freak athletic abilities.

T Smith is the perfect replacement of the old T Smith. Too bad he didn't come to the Team a couple of seasons before. Hope he stays healthy and continue his good play.

If we gave him a full training camp as strictly a LT, I'm not sure he wouldn't be pretty dominant.

T is more important than G so I'm always going to try to cover that with my best player.

Before anyone gets in a row, these comments are in a vacuum about Tyler's talent. Just because he played G because that's what we needed & has done it well isn't necessarily proof that he can't play T. None of us truly know what he could be at T because he's never been allowed to put in the time so I'm not a proponent of saying he should only be a G.

No, he can't. Tyler is more like BIGG, and all pro OG, but just an OK OT. Putting him at OT would waste his talent playing him out of position.
I remember his rookie season thinking that Tyler Smith had incredible agility for a lineman. That is wasted at G. I would have played him at LT. That gets the most value out of our best olineman.

He's got everything a LT needs, and those guys are just harder to find than a G.

With the collapse of Steele, I won't be surprised to see Smith back out at T someday.

The amount of probowl and allpro lineman Dak has had during his entire career you’d have expected more playoff success since that’s where the trenches and run game really pay off late. Can’t think of a qb who has had better overall line play the past decade.
