Hill & Bohanna competing, as well Ridgeway. Add Watkins. Who played decent last season. More than some want to admit.

Watkins did play well, and I think he, Ridgeway, Bohanna, and Gallimore will see Hill departing the Cowboys.

Short video showing our 2022 #1 pick blowing up our 2019 #2 pick. Hill has to be on bust watch- and not just because of this one video.

Several reports from Cowboys beat writers Clarence Hill and David Moore have said Hill has been less than stellar so far this summer. It’s early- first day in pads. But the clock has to be ticking for Trysten Hill.

Which contradicts reports that Hill has been having a solid offseason thus far. Recall reports back in the minicamp that it was Hill that out-juked rookie Tyler on a rush drill .
Also .. since so much is focused and fixed on Hilll, .. why is it we have not been hearing rahs and raves of the other DTs thus far ... ala Gallimore, Osa, Watkins, and Bohanna ?

But it's just first day of padded practices so we'll see.

SMH,.. No DT was on the back of his azzz, or face in the dirt on a consistent basis, all year long, more than rookie Quinton Bohanna,.. yet some " hope" he makes the team over Hill.

I'll give Bohanna the rookie year to adjust to the NFL trenches, and see what a full offseason program, but i was discouraged from what i saw of him - i cannot recall not one play, one series, one game where he flashed or stood out.

Mini camp,...nuthin..... but now what about training camp and preseason ? .. we'll see.

A lot of players look better in shorts and tshirts. Which is why we should never buy in to the hype on a guy until the pads are on. I won’t buy hype until the player is in pads vs another NFL team.

Well, i could also see a scenario where neither Hill nor Bohanna make it. I forgot about Osa lol. So, there's actually a real possibility that Bohanna gets on the PS, and we keep Osa, Ridgeway, Gallimore, Watkins, and maybe one more. There are two camp prospects at DT that I'm intrigued by. First one being Austin Faoliu at 292. I could see him possibly making the team as he was with us late last season. Josiah Bronson at 300 lbs is another player who I think could have a chance at making the team. If one of those two play well, then Hill and Bohanna probably don't make the active roster with Hill being gone, and Bohanna on the PS.

I have a feeling he'll hold in his career here, too. Because he doesn't like getting beat. I wonder if he had an older brother or someone in his life who used to pick on him, who he later had to take it to. Because that guy really does play with pent up anger. And we'll see enough pancakes sometimes to make up for him getting the holding call.

Trysten Hill is no chump. He has a 9.5 RAS.I would really like to see him playing cleaner, even if that was a border line hold.

At this point, though, I think Ridgeway is the better prospect. But if anyone is really breaking necks on the Cowboys, it's Tyler Smith.

If he was holding he would have pulled him to the ground. I think you could tell from Smith's fall to the ground that he was not holding him. Smith fell hard!

When I said "to our right" I meant basically stage right which is the same as to Dak's left. Credit to @Xizor for the link but here is the partial video. This is after Hill has lost his own footing from the impact. If there's a danger of a hold here, it's actually on Zack Martin grabbing Lawrence's right shoulder to restrict his "path or angle of pursuit" as he changes direction toward the ball carrier on the opposite side. Don't think he held it long enough though. Hill has no pursuit or angle because he's already lost footing to move in one direction or another. As for the hands, this video doesn't show a tight hold under Hill's pit. Most of his action was with his left hand/arm. Hill twisting at the end might actually be a Tyron Smith assist grabbing along Hill's back while pretending not to be concerned with that block. Oh those sneaky Smiths.

Good angle, actually Hill brings down Smith on him by holding his left hand , I think .
