That's how you really do a value board. List all your top 25 values after 30. After 40 for half of them..

I'm not playing critic, Rowdy. I'm simply living in reality. Plus I'm not a liar. I don't say things like two reaches went where most thought they would when no one did and nearly everyone is giving them a low grade for those two picks.

hey matt houston...tyler smith went exactly where they mocked him to go on april 27th and 28th...near the bottom of rd1.
he went exactly where pete schragger's sources told him he would...near the bottom of rd1.

A project that: potentially plug and plays a position of need, potentionally stays at LG, potentially becomes our LT, potentially would have gone to the SEC, potentially would raise his value with development which would have meant we'd have no chance of getting him next year.
A project yep, but one with a high ceiling and floor.

And he will play, but how effective he is early in his career is the question.
 
As long as hes Ron Leary we are fine. He will never be Erik Williams...etc.

You can have an opinion, but unless youre a top coach how can you tell from tape (as a LT) what's translate translate to LG in the NFL?
There's enough professionals saying that his physique, footwork, aggression and the more forward placing hand position (rather than defending Edges looking to bend) make him ideal as a Guard.

i think the comp to williams is more about his physical style of play than talent level.
if he's ron leary...i'll take that.

Nah..All I was able to view was a highlight reel. But yeah, lets he the GPA isnt an indicator of his FB IQ.

There are other issues too. Like his narcissism, and his meddling father...

Sill, though, no other real solutions.

The argument was that they didn't stick to their board. But that's been debunked bc Jerry showed his hand to the media.

I see why you wouldn't take Williams in the 2nd. I can see why you would take another player there.

Still, though, it's easy to not like the pick and say we reached. But then, if that's the case, who else was available that would have been better?

That's the part that's missing. But if you're not going to present what pick would have been better, and give your reasoning, then what's the point?

The line in the sand has been drawn. He was a reach. Mel gave up a bad grade. If Smith is making Pro Bowls, he might get upgraded to jag
