I don't know where you came up with the 18M number.

Tyron's contract averages 12.2M per year. That is the amount that he get paid and the amount on average of the cap hit.

Any years with a larger cap hit are because they took less than the 12.2M number as a cap hit in previous year for the purpose of signing other players.
- That is irrelevant to Tyron contract. His cost is 12.2M per year on average.
It's 12 this year but in years past the over the top nfl salary cap website showed him at 18 mil

If either Knight or Steele go down to injury ...who is the next man up ?

this Eric Smith they pouched off another team's practice squad ?
- And he's listed as an OG

In the Atlanta game:
Eric Smith: Active but DNP (Did Not Play)
Alex Light: On the 55 but not on the 48 (i.e. Inactive).

Eric Smith was list as "T" in the NFL Gamebook which is the official NFL summary of stats from the game.

Alex Light was signed just 5 days before the Atlanta game and I think there is a 4 day waiting period before they can practice.

Again, he gets paid 12.2M per year on average. That is the cost to the team.

The highest paid OT in the NFL averages 22M per year.

Even if Tyron continues to play 13 games per season which he has done the past 4 seasons, it's still a bargain.

The top paid OT is making 1.4M per game if he plays all 16.

Tyron is making 0.93M per game if he plays 13.

Yes he clearly explained it in that post. Cap hit is irrelevant, his contract is just over 12 million average. Him getting more on a certain year is irrelevant because it means he got paid less than that in previous years in order for us to sign other players

It's kind of the equivalent of financing a Camry for $300 a month for 5 years but for the first 4 years you're only making $200 payments. Year 5 comes up and not only do you have to do maintenance on the car but you're having to pay over $400 because you did make full payments up till then. You can't say oh this car is a scam and not worth it at $400 for the last year when you where under paying the previous years

So freaking sick of him, can’t depend on him at all....time to move on....

Injury issues and a penalty machine but still one of the best at his position when he’s healthy. The Cowboys are going to have to start looking for his replacement soon.

When you continue to restructure you kick the can down the road and regardless even at 12 mil he isn't worth it.
