UDFA thread

Bonner to Panthers, but on a tryout basis.....no contract yet. Dream still alive, but just barely.

Basically played at the depth of a FB, but came to Tech as a QB, played AB, which is a wing back running outside.

Ex-Raven Anthony Allen played both AB and then BBack for Tech and is a pretty good comparison in size and ability.

As a Tech fan, I'd love to say he's the guy. In reality, he can be a good FB, short yardage RB and special teamer. He's 6'0" 235.

His counterpart at BBack at Tech, Zack Laskey, signed as an UDFA with St. Louis.

Not may fullbacks run a 4.6 or run for 150 yards in a game like he did last season against Virginia.

He will compete for a tailback spot at 6'2 230. He's a physical north and south guy with speed.

.......just waiting patiently for the 'Boys going after La'el Collins....that would make this draft an A. The guy could be starting by midseason at either RT or LG on the best OL in the game. Why would he go anywhere else?

@toddarcher: Cowboys should finalize UDFA deals soon. QB Brandon Bridge, RB Cam McDaniel, DT Chucky Hunter among those coming 2 rookie camp 4 tryout.

The three players that seem to be more talented are there on a tryout basis? Odd.

we got to get the TCU DBs White and Hackett, got to keep them in DFW.

I think Harwell and Goodley have a chance to make it on the team this year. I'm not sure Street makes the team this year.

It seems every UDFA crop has several WRs that people think have a chance (remember Washington last year and several others from years prior to that). To me, I only look at special teams ability out of them. Otherwise, they have zero chance as the first four spots are pretty much etched in stone. Goodley plays teams, Harwell really does not.

Well only the first three spots are etched in stone, anything else is up for grabs. It would not surprise me if Street does not make the team.

It would take a pretty significant effort for someone to take his spot. I would be surprised. Not that I think he is that good, but he seems to have supporters on the coaching staff and that matters. Some strange kid from the outside is going to have a tough time impressing enough to overcome that.

The little bit that Street played last year and I do mean little bit, he messed up and proved very little. I don't think he is a lock to make the team by any means.. Now the first three spots they are set in stone, but everything else is up for grabs.

Bridge may make it to the PS as a development project
Days, I project makes the roster. A converted QB who runs real well.
Farmer was USC's starting tailback with Monte Kiffin in 2011, then went back to his HS position of WR. I can see both Farmer and Antwan Goodley make the 53-man roster.
Although Lucky Whitehead is a Dwayne Harris clone and natural fit to replace KR/PR/WR - won't surprise me if either Farmer or Goodley stick as a KR....I like all the WR signee's including Harwell and Whitehead. Roster is stacked.
Also like all the DB signings - Joel Ross, Tim Scott, Ray Vinopal - ALL have legitimate shots of making roster or PS.......

I think the UDFA's have more game than Devin Street. Street looks like a passive receiver and both Farmer and Goodley are better.........

Totally agree, I think Street sucks, and I know Goodley is a good ball player. I can see Goodley as the #4 receiver this year for the Cowboys.

Then the UDFA wr's have to be significantly better than Street not just for special teams, but overall talent and upside. WR coach loves Street. He has the edge until those things put them above Street.
