Had 8 sacks his junior year at DE, then they switched to a 3-4 defense.

Wow. This guy was being touted as a first rounder by some places before they forced him to play out of position. Very similar to Tapper, except this guy's value took a massive hit.

Lewis Neal is one of the most talented defensive players in the nation. A projected first-round pick, the 21-year-old defensive end is entering his senior season at LSU looking to reach the College Football Playoff with a very talented Tigers team.

BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1’s 2017 mock draft gives LSU seven first-round selections.

That includes the highest pick among the Tigers — running back Leonard Fournette — who would come off the board with the No. 3 overall pick to the San Francisco 49ers.

Also included in that list are safety Jamal Adams (No. 6) , cornerback Tre’Davious White (No. 10), wide receiver Malachi Dupre (No. 16), defensive end Lewis Neal (No. 18), center Ethan Pocic (No. 23) and defensive tackle Davon Godchaux (No. 32).

Neal is coming off a 2015 season in which he registered career-highs in tackles for loss (9.5) and sacks (eight). He could find himself becoming a first-round pick in next April’s NFL Draft.

Sounds like this guy is already wealthy. Depends how much he loves football, but we might've found something.

So is there a list that is being kept updated. So one doesn't have to look through 16 pages of posts to make a list?
Just don't have time to do this and look through everything right now.

See the Blogging the Boys site or CBS Sports' NFL Draft splash page.

This guy signed.

It'd be like Jason Garrett gets a second crack at an NFL career.

Can you imagine the disturbing looking sideline chats between the two of them if he sticks and has to play?

It's why we didn't trade up for Wentz...too much ginger

Sooooo... Keith Smith should be looking in his rearview? Or Hanna? Or Swaim? Or all three?

He doesn't have speed so much as he has change of direction ability. I think change of direction is more important anyway. Lucky had speed but terrible change of direction.
I said he seems to be moving fast but not really running fast. But I like his shiftiness. And I thought we needed to draft a backup to Zeke. I'm just not comfortable with DMac and Morris as backups. We need someone more productive, younger and who won't make our offense skip a beat.

I think that'll come next year. Dmac has one more year left in him.

Remember back to 2015. Anyone can run behind this line.

Wonder if the Browns cut Jackson after drafting NC State - Dayes. They now have Isiah Crowell, Duke Johnson, George Atkinson, Jackson and Dayes.

How does a player go from projected first round pick to an UDFA? Playing out of position might cause you to fall in the draft, but to fall completely out of it??? Is he really that talented? If so, why didn't someone pull the trigger on him somewhere in the draft???

I don't see how they can cut such a great young player destined for stardom.

For a guy who is barely over 6 foot tall, he only ran a 4.72 40. Couple that with LSU's scheme change forcing him to play 3-4 DE and even tackle, according to what I've read, and teams likely didn't know what to do with him. Too short, too slow and not enough production in the new scheme.

They gave TE Blake Jarwin the biggest bonus, $15,000.
That is interesting. Just going off the brief highlights of each UDFA, he was one of the guys who looked least impressive.

Although these offenses tend to limit the effectiveness of the TE, so maybe they think there is more there then he has showed. He is pretty well down on the guys who interest me as UDFA.

I pulling for Wyoming LB Lucas Wacha Flocka Flame to make the team
