He was obviously pissed off. He didn't touch gloves. After the fight he got in Mir's face. He never did what the fighters do and hugged the opponent. He dissed the beer sponsor. He talked about nailing his wife. There was no respect there.

I predict it will sell the next fight for him in a big way.

Yup ..... its all an act. White knows he has to put some theatrics in ufc if he wants ratings.

Brock is playing the bad guy that everyone wants to hate.

Fedor would submit him in round one.

But it could be a nice slugfest for a few seconds.

Would be an interesting fight. Mir tagged Brock a couple good times on the feet. If Brock was not willing to trade with Mir, he definitely wants no part of Fedor on the feet.

The interesting part would be if Brock could keep his body square on the smaller Fedor as he did Mir tonight to give him no room for a quick submission attempt. That was one thing that was a beautiful progression and gameplan by Brock tonight to use his immense size against a better ground fighter.

Fedor's biggest flaw is a pretty poor takedown defense. But Fedor's single greatest strength is his ultra-quick submission transitions from anywhere. Fedor's transitions are unparalleled by any fighter out there, he's that quick.

Would be a damm interesting fight.

But it will likely never happen.

Probably not ...... to much for both men to lose.

Fedor would be giving up close to 50 pounds ....... And Brock would be facing someone much more ring savvy than him.

it's martial arts not the WWE, the acting thing is cool as long as it's before the fight, acting like an *** after a fight just taints the sport IMO

I understand that ...... I just think Dana White only cares about ratings.

Brock and Mir had a family chat on thursday. They showed each other pictures of their new kids.

Its an act for the cameras.

“Hey, Brock,” Mir said, extending a hand.
“Hey, Frank,” Lesnar said, shaking it.
They stopped, smiled and exchanged pleasantries. Mir’s wife, Jen, asked about Lesnar’s new baby boy. Lesnar returned the favor by asking about the Mirs’ 4-week old son. Jen produced a picture of the kids.
And just like that, so much for the animosity. The unsuspecting gym door was long forgotten. They’ll save the heat for the octagon on Saturday night.
Poke the Teddy Bear?
“That’s nice,” Lesnar said, looking gently at the Mir family picture he held in the huge hand that he plans on punching the patriarch of the clan with on Saturday. “That’s really nice.”

People will eat it up.

One of the things that made Ali so great was that people wanted to see someone shut him up. His fights sold and sold and sold.

It sells in wrestling too.

I like the respect these guys have for each other and the fans, but if there is a legitimate heel to hate, it will sell.

Adrenaline gets pumping and you'll say and do alot of stupid things.

At the end of the day, every one of these fighters respect the other guy for having the sack to go through the absolute hell they do in training, then to have the sack to actually step in the octagon and fight.

But I'm kinda hoping Carwin wins against Velasquez. It gives Brock almost a carbon copy of himself to fight against. HUGE wrestler with devastating power. Would be very interesting to see what happened if Carwin was able to slip a punch through on Lesnar.

I can see the marketing potential it has but the sport has made it this far without turning into a sideshow why start now?
This kind of stuff has no place in martial arts and it really rubbed me the wrong way

I'll just leave it at that before i really start ranting about it :laugh2:

That interview just confirms my initial impression of the guy the UFC needs to get some real HW fighters inn there and shut that roid monkey up

Don't be sour because your boy lost. Brock Lesnar is a 2 time NCAA heavyweight champion. I was going for Mir and thought it was a 50/50 shot that he could pull it off based on his superior groundgame. I had no idea that Lesnar would dominate like that. What heavyweights are there that UFC doesn't have other than Fedor? Barnett would absolutley get owned by Mir, Couture, and Lesnar. Fedor is the only heavyweight out there that UFC fans truly covet and his contract expires after the Barnett fight. Fedor has never fought a really good game opponent. Arlovsky and Slyvia had already run their course in the UFC and he could never finish Noguira. I would love to see Fedor sign a contract with the UFC if they can match Affliction's offer. Fedor would struggle with Mir, Lesnar, and Couture if he isn't shot yet. Would Fedor lose??? I don't know, but if he truly wants to prove himself, he will get into the UFC. He could even move down to light heavy and still have his hands full with people like Shogun, Machida, Evans, and Rampage.

I was agreeing with everything you said in the first 4 sentences...Then you went straight into UFC nut hugging. Ugh.

1st fight was good. don't know if the Decision was correct but it was close.

Dan Henderson is back. you run your mouth he shuts it.

Gsp did his usual. Great heart showed by Alves. Gsp just was too good for him. I agree with the other posters that his fights can be so 1-sided they lose excitement.

Brock Lesnar is a bad,bad man. he's learning how to properly use that size and speed. he's learning proper technique and at a fast pace. he's learning how to fight and that is very scary. also Hostile is exactly right about Lesnar's post fight antics. a lot of mma fans and "purists" will not like it but he's selling major tickets and ppv's for his next fight and for future UFC cards.

Jon Fitch also looked impressive in another decision.

How is it nut huggin??? I'm not saying that Fedor isn't the best, but how do we truly know? He has yet to fight a great prime fighter who could really test him. Not that it is his fault, because Dana White will not let him fight the UFC champion until he signs with the UFC. I would have loved to see him fight Couture but it never happened because White did not want it to happen. White does not want an outside fighter to beat his champion and make the UFC look like the inferior brand. I would really relish the thought of Fedor getting in the ring with Lesnar, but again it will not happen while he is under contract with Affliction. Other than Fedor do you think Affliction has anyone on their roster that could beat Lesnar because I don't.

I wonder how good he would have been if he would have gone straight into MMA instead of the WWE after college. He has already defeated Mir and Couture and the realization that he will get better is scary.

Who do you think is out there that can present problems?? I think Lesnar will stay Champ for a long time unless the UFC and pry Fedor from Affliction and Trump will throw whatever cash it takes to keep him.

maybe Shane Carwin. Mirko Crocop just signed a 3 fight deal so if he gets 2 more wins i'm sure he'd be up to the challenge. I honestly don't see Brock losing for a long time unless they get Fedor. all I know is Brock is getting better and will be better in his next fight. the sky is the limit for the vanilla gorilla, Brock Lesnar.......BROCK SMASH!
