This is coming from a guy who was fine with CM Punk making his MMA debut in the UFC.

I'm fine with the UFC wasting their money any way they see fit.

It's their money.

On the flip side of that I totally understand why the fighters themselves have an issue with it and I can't say I blame them either. But that's the nature of business.

I'm sure you're right about why Silva tested positive but the UFC has to act. That's a PED. Whatever the reason, that policy has to be black and white. You either did it or you didn't and it shouldn't matter why you do it, IMO.

Diaz just doesn't give a bleep. Him and his brother. They have both been excellent fighters but I think they're wasting the 2nd half of their careers with this disgruntled act. I don't think they are 100% committed to fighting in the UFC any more.

They haven't been committed in a long time. Nick in particular has never came off as a guy particularly committed. He's a bone head and I just never understand how anyone is shocked when he fails yet another drug test for pot.

This is what the dude is known for just as much as he's known for MMA fights.

I do agree with you 100% on the Silva issue as well. It probably was for his recovery but the UFC will have no choice but to act because of it being a PED.

For the record, HGH is not exactly this foolproof fountain of youth that you speak of.
You do realize there are plenty of adverse effects from taking steroids, prohormones, and the like?

The steroids listed are not commonly steroids that are administered for cardio and conditioning.

Drostanolone is essentially an AI that reduces estrogen in a human that is currently cycling a steroid.

When you take a steroid you are flipping a coin whether or not it turns into estrogen or testosterone. They are structurally similiar, almost identical. THIS AI is used as a means to prevent extra estrogen intake to the body, allowing the body to purely focus on it's influx of T.

Which is why it is an anti-cancer agent in breast tissues.

NO NO NO, it is not a chemical that will make you have insane cardio. It WILL however let you remain lean while you are on your current cycle of an additional steroid. Estrogen will make your body accumulate body fat, Drost- will prevent the estrogen, thus giving you a leaner physique.

I would also highly suggest you to not take such substances.

HGH is widely known as a fat burner and lean muscle mass provider that almost every pro body builder takes.
Even Mark Cuban has stated he thinks it should be further studied and possibly made legal.
It has a lot of beneficial effects and has been given to kids that are below average size for a few decades now.

I can tell you I saw a 225 bodybuilder go from eating super clean and carrying 12% bodyfat get on HGH and start eating as much junk as he wanted but drop to 9% bodyfat. He also recovered much more quickly and started hitting the same bodyparts twice per week at age 45. crazy....

Dros.. is Masteron. A substance I have seen used and perhaps the most popular current lean muscle builder.
It does not add a lot of water weight thus is preferred for anyone in a sport where you weigh in.
It does help with cardio because you carry less overall weight and water yet have strength gains aplenty.
I have worked out with people on various cycles for 20 years. Not all drugs effect everyone the same but the general consensus is general for a reason.

Androstane is a simple test like size and strength product.

Anabolic steroids have crazy bad side effects. No one under 30 should EVER touch them.
HGH is not a steroid but a naturally occurring product where the best supply comes from the bones of cadavers.
It is beneficial to bone density.

none of these are traditional estrogen fighters but masteron is often used post cycle with HCG or simply used year round.

HGH is primarily used as lean muscle builder, and connective tissue strengthener. The only reason it burns fat as much, is due to the higher levels of lean muscle tissue present in the body. The more lean muscle = the higher the metabolism = the higher the fat burning.

I would not suggest HGH medically, because if it is not dosed correctly it can cause permanent damage on that individual. I would tell people over the age of 30 to stick with TRT and not HGH.

TRT will also produce the same effects, without the negatives. HGH is trying to use a nuke , when you only need a pistol for your body.

Masteron's primary usage in the body is an estrogen regulator which is why it is labeled as an anti-cancer research chemical. There are many other steroids out there that are more potent for muscle building, but Masteron's niche is estrogen regulation to keep fat minimal. Hence lean muscle mass. It is androgenic so you will get gains off of it, but that isn't it's primary usage in the bodybuilding/athletic world.

HGH was farmed from cadavers almost 30 years ago, HGH primarily is now found from placentas during pregnancy. Just a little food for though.

Placentas have HGH within them, which is a reason the baby is able to mature at a rapid rate. Overuse of HGH on an individual results in acromegaly . HGH not only affects the muscles, but it will affect the users organs, skin , and BONES when used for reasons that are not medical. Which is why I tell people to stick to TRT.

I enjoy talking about this, because this is my educational background. Don't take it the wrong way because I type alot on something that intrigues me.

They need to change the testing system. Nick could come out easily and sue the UFC for allowing Silva to fight against him. Going up against an athlete in a combat sport on PED's is dangerous. Especially when the test was done on the 9th of January. Almost makes testing fighters pre-fight pointless.

I did read the fight is ruled as No Contest now though

You can't say that Gina Carano needs to fight her way back to the UFC while saying you're perfectly fine with an MMA novice debuting in the UFC, or you lose whatever credibility you have left.

Great point and that's why, IMO, this PED issue is a bigger problem for combat spots than it is stick and ball sports.

No, this is all good stuff and that is all very sound info.
I will say HGH is actually far more potent and popular than you suggest however.
The strengthening of connective tissue and the recovery time are why any users of OTHER steroids find HGH so valuable.
It has a very short shelf life (hours not days) so it requires to be used daily but also produces a hyper burn which is why it is great for weight loss.
Most people inject right into the fat on their bellies in fact.
The biggest negative is with really high doses and with price.
Research is mostly anecdotal at this point. Not a lot of definitive studies.

HGH is now mostly manufactured not natural. Cadaver HGH was considered the best.

My personal experience with it was watching someone first hand who worked out with me.
It had a very noticeable effect.

Anti-aging clinics have been prescribing it for decades and it is more popular than ever in that 1-2 IU daily range.
Big-time bodybuilders like Ronnie Coleman have been known to take 8iu daily....

The average 40 + year old male would do quite tremendously on low dose Anavar and HGH.
They'd feel younger, have more energy and their body would in many ways respond as that of a much younger male.
They'd definitely be leaner, harder and more energetic.

The danger is when young people get into it and ruin a properly functioning body.
But most people who buy it are buying nothing real anyways.

Yeah I can understand that.

I am fine with them letting Gina come right in and have a title fight as well.

Hector Lombard failed a drug test and now his fight with Rory McDonald has been scrapped.

The UFC has a real problem on their hands.

I read that they are testing Rousey and her opponent prior to their fight that is coming up.

Gotta hope for the UFC's sake that neither of them pop for anything.

And honestly don't you think that we should have seen this coming at some point? It's a very physical, contact, sport with a whole lot of money at stake.

I think we should have all, as fans, just assumed that at some point this type of stuff was going to begin to be a problem.
