All I know is Aldo deserves a rematch based on the others that have got rematches.

Cain getting another crack at the belt.. Rousey getting demolished and getting a rematch.. All of the past fighters who have received immediate rematches...

Surely a 10 year Champion who walked into a punch and lost in 13 seconds deserves a rematch.

It was luck that he knocked him out in 13 seconds.

You don't hold the title for 10 years and lose it in 13 seconds without a lot of luck involved.

Of Course McGregor has knockout power. We all know this.

We still haven't seen McGregor and Aldo have an MMA fight.

Any UFC fighter would get an immediate rematch given the circumstances but im guessing the UFC runs away from it because they know Aldo could beat their new cash cow.

I just want to see the 2 of them actually fight and I feel very cheated.

Matt Sera can knockout GSP..Silva can lose to Weidman, Rousey can lose to Holm, so on and so on and they all get immediate rematches. Aldo deserves the same treatment.

White said that if McGregor does stay at 145 then there could be a rematch or they may have him fight Edgar.

Aldo might get that rematch. He will last a little longer into the first round and he'll be KO'd again.

FWIW, from a casual fans point of view. I don't see how you can justify not giving Aldo a rematch when he was undefeated champion for 10 consecutive years. It just doesn't seem right.

That being said, Aldo appeared nervous to me before the fight began. McGregor came across as extremely confident.

If McGregor moves up, is the belt vacated?

If McGregor decides to move to 155 and stay there (Which has been rumored. It's rumored that his camp were not happy with him cutting weight to 145 and don't really want him to continue doing it, so there is that) then yes they'll vacate the title.

Dana said the night of the fights that if McGregor is convinced to move up, and stay there, and they have to vacate the title then they'll have Aldo fight Frankie for the vacant title.

If McGregor decides he wants to defend the title at 145 then he will either fight Frankie, whose now the #1 contender, or he'll give Aldo a rematch. It seems like, from what White has already said, the most likely scenario is this.

If McGregor decides to defend the title then he'll fight Edgar an the winner of that will fight Aldo. Meaning that more than likely McGregor would then face Aldo again after dispatching of Edgar.

McGregor said he is not giving that belt up.

Edgar is too small for McGregor. I don't even want to see that beat down.

Edgar is pretty slick for a small guy. But I remember watching Edgar vs. Aldo and noticed how small Edgar is compared to Aldo. And McGregor seem to dwarf Aldo so McGregor vs. Edgar would be like a giant facing a midget.

I was surprised how much smaller Aldo appeared compared to McGregor.

Anyone see the beat down Rose gave to VanZant?

It's definitely likely to be one of those wastes of time matches before they have him fight Aldo again. I really feel like McGregor would smash Edgar in a really bad way.

The Brazilians started fighting MMA about a decade before Americans.
That's why they were so good in the Pride era.
Americans had Boxing and Wrestling. Eventually Americans rounded out their games.

Agree they are juicing tho. Virtually every top level athlete juices and those in Brazil have almost no issue finding docs to prescribe and monitor programs because it is a moderate to poor country with minimal regulation.
It is a lucrative business.

There are roids for cardio, recovery, strength et al. It is pretty much a must do to compete at the top level where guys are cutting 30 pounds.
No one naturally cuts like that and keeps cardio.

Say what you want about Ronda but that's what a natural athlete looks like. Gonna be interesting to see if she comes in next fight all of a sudden more defined and lean with 5x the cardio....

Failing tests: You'll have two types fail. The Silva's who haven't been lifelong juicers that know the system as well so rely on teammates or friends and the guys like Sonnen who are constantly looking for more and better juice as a competitive advantage.

If you look into how easy it is to pass a drug test I think you'll start questioning everyone and not just the Brazilians.

There is a big steroid problem in all sports and with all of the Micro dosing and things that get it out of your system in 4 hours then i'm sure the majority of athletes in sports are on it.

I don't have to look anywhere:)
I have seen it firsthand. Not hard at all and that is with zero real tech or finances.
Walk across border, take shots, bring bottle of clean urine on test day.
NCAA Div 1 passed 99%.

But a lot of Americans will be like I was, scared to risk health and legal stuff.
Less concern for those who are literally using it as their meal ticket and consider the risk well worth it.

If I had a triple digit bank acct I would use doctor prescribed/managed low to moderate HGH now for recovery and fat burning properties.

But vet drugs, bathtub roids or stuff from Mexico pharmas? No way.

Also, a UFC Champion hasn't won since they banned IV's.

That's very interesting. It's only been what? Two months since they brought that in? Longer?

Yep.

Ronda and Weidman looked horrid in their fight.

Aldo, of course we never got to see whether it was a factor or not.
