Ultimate Backup QB Thread

There is no rush. I don't think Carr will be released, nor would we be interested in a trade for him.

Besides, Johnson is visiting today and could end all the suspense.

That would be a mighty dissapointing and foolish ending if JJ opts to sign the ancient, injury-prone, denture bound Brad Johnson. LOL. Let's hope JJ gets one look at his wrinkled face and graying temples and decides to pass. LOL.

Who ever Dallas gets I would think they will get backup money. Myself I would rather have a guy like Brad Johnson

LOL. I really am concerned about the QB situation, as well as the entire team. Thank you for your inout, though. I feel I'm misunderstood around here at times.
Sorry, but I don't think you're misunderstood at all.

You respond primarily to your own threads or your friend The Prophet's threads and it is done over and over and over.

All other opinions on this forum do not matter unless in those threads or on pet subjects like hatred of Quincy Carter.

I have pointed this out to you on 2 different occasions and you've said you would consider the advice and then gone right back (within minutes last time) of the exact same droning on an on topics.

What is there to misunderstand?

I'd rather have an the ancient, injury-prone, denture bound Brad Johnson who has proven he can win in this league and can help our starting QB develope rather than a couple of #1 busts who never did anything. Hey maybe Ryan Leaf is still available. Oh wait, we already tried that. I know, let's do it again.

Suit yourself ole buddy, I'll stick with the young guys who have talent. For the record the lowly Texans and Lions are not exactly the idea venues for young QB's to be groomed. LOL.

The best thing about these two is the epic merges.

Although it would be better if they were unnecessary, and my ignore list could go back to being just TheAnswer, who I think is banned anyway.

I walk to the beat of a different drummer at times. I respond to far more things than you give me credit for. The OL, the draft, etc. come to mind. I'm doing my best to adapt and will keep trying.

Hence why I used the word "primarily." That means for the most part. Or the biggest majority.

One quick glance at page 1 of your post history comfirms what I just said.

There are 25 posts on page 1. In 23 of them you either responded in this thread or to take a shot at Q or Brad Johnson, whom you have already started at least one thread about not getting.

23 of 25. That's 92% of the time. Does that fit your definition of "primarily?" It fits mine.

Again, what misunderstanding?

The lions Gave him WR after Wr and tried to develope a half decent OLine. I agree neither the Lions or the Texans are not the greatest place to play but neither of these guys have developed like they hoped. You gotta remember we are looking for a back up QB and not a Starter. The back ups job is to be ready to play IF he is needed. In our situation our Bacup QB has a duel role and that is to be ready to play IF called on but also help mentor and develope Romo who most agree is our future.

If you bring in a guy like Harrington or Carr, they still think they can be a starter and will do what they have to to win the job.

We saw that kind of attitude from Bledose last year. We don't need any more of that this year. THis is a critical year for Romo. He will be the starter from the get go and he will need all the recourses we can give him to help him improve.

It is in the long term best interest of the team.

You're giving me way too much credit (and pressure).

Though I will admit, I sensed a certain stirring when she said "Fork Juke"
