The lions Gave him WR after Wr and tried to develope a half decent OLine. I agree neither the Lions or the Texans are not the greatest place to play but neither of these guys have developed like they hoped. You gotta remember we are looking for a back up QB and not a Starter. The back ups job is to be ready to play
IF he is needed. In our situation our Bacup QB has a duel role and that is to be ready to play IF called on but also help mentor and develope Romo who most agree is our future.
If you bring in a guy like Harrington or Carr, they still think they can be a starter and will do what they have to to win the job.
We saw that kind of attitude from Bledose last year. We don't need any more of that this year. THis is a critical year for Romo. He will be the starter from the get go and he will need all the recourses we can give him to help him improve.
It is in the long term best interest of the team.
