Yeah but you missed the part on my post about the GM sucking. You can't polish up a bunch of turds to look like all pros. Houston doesn't have any talent on defense. Name someone who has been to the probowl either this year or last year other than Robinson.

Sure Zimmer's Defense's may have been top 10 in yards allowed, but who cares? Winning the Turnover margin by a lot creates more opportunities for your O. We need a coach who calls blitzes from different locations, and using many different players. Zimmer can't disguise his blitzes, Capers can. Capers can design new blitzes, Zimmer can't.

Capers is the head coach, head coaches usually have a large say in who's drafted, and who's brought in in Free Agency, I mean, the dude obviously can't even recognize good defensive talent then

Not everyone is like Parcells or Billichick. Most coaches are not given any GM duties whatsoever. Dom Capers is one of them. No way he traded a 2nd and 3rd pick for Philip Buchanon or drafted Jason Babin in the first. He benched those guys because they sucked. That was all on the GM. Capers would not have let Glenn go either. He would have rather had Glenn than Buchanon. What Houston personnel do you see go to the draft? I'm pretty sure its not Capers. Let Jerry Jones make the draft picks on defense and see how well Parcells coaches.

trying to confuse opposing offenses, in the 1st year in a new scheme, is likely to confuse your D even more than they are

Well, I'm not suggesting the proverbial "Chinese Fire Drill" on defense...but ya know, maybe on occasion do something a little creative.

Remember when we were all freaked out about blocking the two Giant DE's? And what did they do on one of their sacks? Lined both guys up right next to eachother. We were block heavy over the tackles...and light where Strahan lined up. Ooops.

Nothing radical. But an occasional change of pace would have been nice.

I agree, and we saw some "change of pace" in the STL game, remember Ware moving to the other side of the line, and he blew up Alex Barron? learning a new scheme is a process, shoot, BIll told us that before the beginning

Your missing the point, Capers is not allowed to make draft picks. He didn't make the the trade for Philip Buchanon. He did not draft Jason Babin. Now if Capers were allowed to make the picks and FA acquisitions then I would agree that Zimmer is a better coach. I never said Zimmer sucked either. I just stated that he would implement a cover two if he ever left Dallas. Zimmer is a better 4-3 DC, Capers is a better 3-4 DC. It's like comparing apples to oranges.
