***Ultimate Running Game Thread***

Julius Jones ...lets call it like it is - he stinks and you know it...he doesn't make people miss - he doesn't bang heads - he doesn't explode thru the hole anymore and he can't get in the EZ!
We know the OL is questionable - but he still stinks.

When I see Barber - I see toughness - excitement - playing hard, above his talent almost - giving it his all....

And don't think Bill doesn't see the same - he's looked around for other backs - and there was a rumor on draft day of a deal with JJ to the Jets etc...

I have ZERO faith in him this season and IMO by Mid Season Tyson Thompson will surpass him on the depth chart.

Unfortunately I agree that Jones is never going to be a top rb
1) lacks vision- consistently runs to defenders when holes are apparent

2) cant catch the ball out of the backfield- almost fights the ball

3) cant stay healthy

4) Has 0 elusiveness

Barber appears to do all of the above- only time will tell who is the better back.

I see a good back running against 2nd teamers

when barbers in i feel like something will happen. something good. if julius is in i just watch him run into the pile. when barber comes in against the starters that julius was just getting owned by. he tears it apart.thers a huge difference. anyone who thinks julius is better is living on hype, julius is nto the better back. marion is. marion for starter 06!

I havent seen progression from Jones in two years. He does not appear to run with confidence and I dont know how you stay a starter on a Parcells team with that attribute. I dont think JJ makes it past week 4 as the starter.

I would agree. I know he's had injury problems, but that just adds to my disappointment with him. I'd rather see MB as the feature RB.
