We need a Big power back who slam straight ahead in the line.

With the 2 TE sets and no full back, plus Bill wants his RB's just to run where the play is and not bounce outside. These 2 RB's don't fit this system.

We need a power back who falls forward and moves the pile.

This sucks for me because IM a big JJ fan. My favorite college team is Notre Dame so I was happy when they drafted him but he isn't being used the best way.

There are no holes. A straight line power back, say like TJ Duckett would not work in this system. Right now very few Hall of Fame running backs would work in Dallas because there is no consistant, good blocking. The problem is mostly and has mostly been the offensive line.

Yes, the O-line in Buffalo looked so much better after Bledsoe left  They only gave up 60+ sacks.

I don't think the handoff issue is entirely Bledsoe. Some of the handoff is orchestrated. Get the o-line thinking pass, baiting them into rushing the passer, etc.

do you really want me to pull up all those stats again.... I spent a good 6 months explaining it...better yet why don't you tell me why he was sacked more than Vinny cause the oline Vinny had was a total piece of crap

Vinny's line

LT -- 76 Flozell Adams 79 Jacob Rogers
LG -- 73 Larry Allen 71 Tyson Walter
C -- 62 Al Johnson 71 Tyson Walter
RG -- 65 Andre Gurode 60 Ben Noll
RT -- 78 Kurt Vollers 77 Torrin Tucker

it was so bad (how bad was it Zaxor...I'll tell ya how bad it was It was so bad that) we spent 9 mil on Rivera to replace the ineffective Gurode...Larry Allen was so out of shape coming off surgery that he was embarrassed numerous times in camp...Al Johnson's real rookie year as he was coming off surgery and Vollers who was so bad that Tucker beat him out later that year...

yet they gave up less sacks and had about the same run production(with Eddie George and others toting the ball till JJ got on the field) we had no Terry Glenn for most of the year and Key was playing basicly on one leg

yet here are testy's # 34 sacks for a loss of 182 yards

Bledsoes #'s with a better oline and & and.etc.. 49 sacks for a loss of 295 yards

add in Bledsoe's fumbles and int's which were 17 and 17 compared to Testy's who had 20 int's and 8 fumbles

and that is only the tip of the iceberg if you would like we can dig up a BUNCH more:tongue:

OUR RB's dont fit the system...:bang2:
Get used to it. Most of us refer to this team as if we owned it. 'Our' and 'we' and 'us' are all common references when discussing the team here. It has been complained about before and has been made clear that we are not going to change. This is OUR team.

I heard him on the radio the other day and he said he has a bad back these days and refers to himself as "the Old Man". I'm afraid that we will have to look elsewhere for that power back. Funny you should mention him though because he was the first guy I thought of when I read the initial post.

I head a couple radio sports talk guys discussing Earl with that guy that puts out a preaseason football mag that had him on the cover this year.

They said that Campbell can barely walk these days due to knee problems. That's not the first time I've heard that, and I really hope their exaggerating.

The last time I saw Earl, I was in his 6th St. restaurant. This was about 5 or 6 years ago. He looked old and beat up. He wasn't yet 50 at that time. Dorsett is 1 year older than Campbell, yet looks spry. It was good barbecue, though.

Earl was a beast and had no quit in him he and he alone was the reason the Oilers were even close a few times
