First off you would have to prove to me what you said is true.
Second of all, if marijuana had so much medicinal value why aren't pharmaceutical companies developing it for all these so called "alternative" medicines?
Third of all, I never met someone that promotes medical marijuana that just so happens to smoke it.

First off, your last three posts are completely full of innuendos and inaccuracies. There are multiple pharmaceutical companies with drugs in the pipeline using cannabis or a form of synthesized cannabis for various medicinal treatments. I have had stock holdings in at least one of them just as an FYI. Second, the reason why big pharma doesn't want to see cannabis as an alternative medical treatment is because they can't own the IP. This is a duh for anyone who is up to speed on the biotech world. Third, just because a drug has to go through a rigorous process to demonstrate both efficacy and safety to get FDA approved doesn't mean it is a great or even good treatment. Nor does it mean that it can't be abused. Oxycontin is a PERFECT example.

If it turns out to be true it's not in the least bit shocking.

It's sad that he's going to wind up throwing his career away without it ever even starting, whatever all reasons there are for why he does it.

This was pretty much the situation we should have seen all along cause of his history with this in college.

True there were some GM's who said they would not touch him leading up to the draft. I can't bring myself to make any excuses for him given how many test he has failed. Granted this latest report as far as I know has not been confirmed only rumored, of course given his history no one is giving him the benefit of the doubt and with good cause.

I don't, he has claimed he can stop using. People here think they know his medical history they don't, they use internet rumors nothing solid and nothing from the people he is going to. Let me ask you what did his doctor prescribe? do know exactly what his doctors have told him? Or do people get this off the internet? There are other options out there if he actually does have mental issues, weed is not the only one and it is debatable that it is the best treatment. He knows and has admitted that it falls on him, no one else yet he can't stop. To me that is a problem if it was not a problem he would seek other alternatives.

I have no idea about his history. I do know that just because there are prescribed/approved options for treatment (for a great many things) it doesn't mean *any* of those options will work. I also know that many people will swear up and down that the only thing that has helped them for various ailments is marijuana in some form or another. I don't know what he has or has not tried, and I don't even know if he has a condition. I would think the decision the NFL presents him with is a stupid one even if we're talking about recreational marijuana. Just as I think that even though I think that choice is a stupid one, that if he wants to play in the league he'll have to find a way to abide by the rules.

You may think it is stupid but the NFLPA agreed to it, meaning the players voted in agreement with the policy. If he wants to smoke weed fine that is his choice but he just blew an NFL because of it. Only thing that is stupid is Gregory. He talked all the BS of "Fixing the Problem" how he needed to grow up and so on. It was nothing more than a lie to himself and to the organization. I will not make excuses for him being stupid those who choose to do so fine but in the end the guy blew a once in a life time career over something some people here think is no big deal, well evidently it is a big enough deal to end a career.

Saying marijuana has very little medicinal value is so uneducated and inaccurate

It may have medical use but it is not the only thing out there. I would think any doctor understanding Gregory situation would give alternatives for him outside of weed. For those out there that act as if weed is the only medication he could take make a very weak argument.

At this stage I just hope that Gregory actually went to college and got his degree and can put that to use. I would hate to think his major was football.

Wouldn't be harmful to his health? Really have you ever read any of the "could cause" warnings? Get outta here with that. This thought process is what's wrong. We throw pills at everything.
Tell me about it, I went on that chantrex pill to quit smoking,,, well after about 3 weeks I kinda started having walking 'blackouts',,, the last time it happened I was in my F550 service truck going down the road in a residential area not knowing who/what/where I was or doing! I had to take stock and look at a service work order to figure it out,,,,It scared me(and I'm fearless) I quit taking them, the cure will kill you.
I saw a header on drudge report that airline pilots have claimed the same thing.

Still haven't seen anything other than TMZ and other sources citing them. Although Jerrys weirdo response kinda lends credibility to it. I think I'm going to be Charlie Brown to Randy's football holding Lucy ONE last time and wait for something more official :(

oh its not but say it doesn't have medicinal value is completely ignorant. I wasn't saying anything about Gregory's situation in particular anyway. Gregory has problems and I'm sure some other medication would work but the guy is partial to weed and its ruining his career.

I think its stupid for the NFL to punish players for weed, but rules are rules and until the NFL gets out of its archaic mindset regarding marijuana then these guys need to follow the rules or not get paid.

I actually tried to find out his degree.
It's not listed
Probably kinesiology?
If I had majored in that my dad would still be beating me....from his grave.
It's truly sad
But he is still young and can make a life for himself.
It just won't be with the Cowboys...or in the NFL.

Gregory attended Arizona Western College from 2011 to 2012.

He committed to Purdue University, but was academically ineligible and decided to attend the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

He decided to forgo his senior season and enter the 2015 NFL Draft.

Not sure that equals graduation.
