ESPN has now changed to, "T.O. is screwing the Cowboys over by causing another distraction."

In other words, they made up a story about suicide, and now that they've been proven wrong, they try to spin it to now say he's causing the demise of the team by causing another distraction.

I love how John Clayton earlier was backing the mental issue belief is now saying, "It's just like I figured it was with the supplements and the pain pills causing his problem." What an idiot ..

What ticks me off more than anything? I find myself feeling sorry for and supporting T.O. because of the way the media has gone after him.

So do I...

It is well-known that I didn't want him here, but since he has been here I am becoming more and more sceptical about some of what was reported about him with previous teams...

I totally agree with you........I don't like him being here, but everything with him is blown out of porportion, because of the media.....especially ESPN.

While I do feel sorry for TO, especially if he didn't try to commit suicide, people please recognize that TO brought all of this attention on himself.

If he were Marvin Harrison, who goes about his business after he scores a TD and doesn't try to make himself into a cottage industry, there wouldn't be this hoopla surrounding him.

But he created the media monster. I don't see why he and his supporters can't fathom why he would be getting this type of negative publicity also.

Wait -ESPN made up the story? Didn't the Cops say TO tried to harm himself? and if this is all an attention job by TO - YES he is hurting the team.

You and me both.

And to take that a bit further...when he left Philly there were MANY players that did not want to see him go. There has to be more to that then I wanted to hear at the time.

I agree. ESPN's intentions may be starting to backfire on them. They are actually turning TO into a sympathetic figure.

I think the mention that TO put 35 pills in the drawer, if true, makes him look even worse. That makes it look like he manufactured this whole thing for his own publicity. He empties the bottle into his drawer to make it look like he took all of the pills. He states to the cops that he took all of the pills and was trying to hurt himself. He spends the night in the hospital, gets great PR out of it, and is in practice the next day. He's on the front of all the papers/internet sites and has some people feeling sorry for him. Either it was a suicide attempt, or he manufactured the whole thing which would make him just as sick.
