I’m not sticking up for Prescott, I’m saying we need to fix the lines , you gotta get Prescott out of your head
but you should be because not only does it include blocking it includes run blocking there is no run game where one-dimensional guys are getting no separation so yeah I am sticking up for dak Prescott and I don't have that dude who you're talking to for years he's on ignore it I will not read his crap I will not hear the crap about our quarterback who's had the least amount of support from his front office his GM his coaching staff and the executioner around him by some players which goes back to the trenches if you can't run or pass block how do you expect the quarterback to have the time for the space to get the football to its proper places and you will see a guy start pressing and start forcing balls to make plays 'cause they're probably gonna lose anyway So what take the interceptions back make those punts which one was basically a punt many of them this year have been inside our own 30 meaning they were like punts they were long fields so just take the one back that you feel like hurt the team make that a putt and find out our defense then in the trenches couldn't do anything and then they score anyway the other team's gonna score anyway Prescott knows this they're desperate right now they're just trying to force things they're trying to make something happen by giving the players a chance to make a play on the ball and then that comes back the effort by some of our wide receivers and tight ends they don't try to come back for the football they just let it be picked off they let it be incomplete they make no effort so yes it starts in the trenches meaning yes our quarterback not to have run or pass blocking on par I mean two tackles that either one player or the other or the same play are allowing their guide on the first step to beat them..

So yes I'll I'll say it I'm sticking up for Prescott I think it's ridiculous that no the front office has done nothing in the offseason no the front office has done nothing to fix the injury plague and adding any players before the trade deadline knowing the front office is not pressing the coaches to do better and then you add in the injuries yeah it'd be hard pressed for any quarterback in this league to play in this office cause imagine right now Patrick Mahomes is not even playing that well for his own team which is much better than ours he has worse stats than prescott Imagine PM might be for the season broken in half already...

Yes our quarterback is struggling and there are good reasons for it it's not excuses it's absolute look at what your eyes say there's immense pressure on a player to be everything to be Superman and there's I don't know amount of money can be paid to a player with this mess that's put around him and say he should be succeeding right now...

I'm not 100% convinced that the new additions to the offensive line are a failure. If we kept a legitimate RB like Pollard we'd have a better way to compare and contrast the loss of Tyron and Biadasz.

As for the Dline though? They are consistently getting mauled and roster change is necessary.

At least the Oline does win their share of battles.

There are mysteries and no secret codes needing to be deciphered here. This team is getting beat at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Our running backs are averaging less than 2 yards before contact. Our QB is getting maybe two seconds to throw the ball and is getting pressured on over 25% of his throws. The offense can't function like that I don't care who you have at the skill positions. We all knew this line would have some struggles to start because of two rookies starting. But none of us saw Zack Martin getting thrown to the ground on the regular and Steele being a shell of himself coming. This can better and it needs to .. and soon. Whatever they are working on in practice is not working so they need to change it up. I thought Solari could fix it and I thought McCarthy "got it" when it came to running the ball at least in the red zone. I was wrong on both counts. At least I have been so far.
So it’s been 30 years since they won “in the trenches”?

I can’t believe Jerry still has some fans fooled. You could add 4 All Pros to the OL and DL and within a year those guys will suck. Nothing matters - It’s all the owner.

It’s the culture. Please wake up.

I have the other guy that he hangs with on ignore. If he wasn’t ragging on Prescott, he’d find somebody else to rag on. That’s why he’s here. I remember him from the beginning at one point he was having his girlfriend post his stuff . I don’t mind sticking up for Prescott, but this wasn’t the thread to do it in. This was about the line.

I don’t know what happened to the strong safety help. It was good last season. The defense is in a shambles. I know there’s injuries we keep getting rid of our defensive tackles and I don’t know why.

Jerry likes stars and bright shinny objects. Give him the Dak's and the CeeDee's for jersey sales and to hell with winning football games.

It's like this franchise and FO is afraid to hurt their pet cats' feelings. I'm a huge Zach Martin fan but c'mon man, you're getting your butt beat down a LOT. Steele looks like a subway turnstile. Those two guys are costing this offense a ton of cap. Why can't we sit them down? Are we afraid of upsetting them ? What would happen? Would our record drop to 3-4 ? Oh wait, nevermind. The two rookies, Guyton and Beebe are not consistently good but their upside is great. Just get 2 more young, hungry guys on rookie contracts and grow together.

Offensively, I think they are just “forcing it”, with people out of position. They should have signed or traded for a veteran center. I think Beebee and Guyton are both out of position and forced to be square pegs in round holes. Some shuffling is needed in my humble fan opinion.

yup just look at KC's team...give me a guy that cant be blocked in the interior DL and I'll show you where all the opposing QB's skele's are hidden...Put Jones on the opposing team in KC's SB wins and change nothing else...who wins those games? Thats not a knock on Mahomes thats a credit to a FO who knows whats more important..Tyreek Hill or Chris Jones....We know what our GM would've done...

No problem after January. We will have a whole new staff trying to change a light bulb with Jerry and Stephen supervising. What could go wrong??

It's not the players, it's the OL coach and scheme.
And of course, your buddy, the quarterback LOL.

correct but does matter talking Line blocking for reason for qbs struggles etc..add inthe rest ie line reason for lack of a run game. Same thing. its all reciprocal and matter its TEAM game many moving parts and we are on 2 flats and a blown plug and expect the driver to win races.

The insistence on making everything about Dak Prescott is mind boggling. We already know Dak is a very good but not great QB. We also know that if you give him a running game and time to throw you get good to great results 99% of the time. Right now neither Dak nor our backs are getting a fair opportunity to be successful because the line is struggling. Like you I am able to watch the game and see the defense constantly in our backfield and realize that the running game and passing game are both going to struggle until that stops being the case. People wanna call it excuse making, fan boying or whatever the hell they want is fine. It's also reality. A very sad reality.
