It would be funny if they had him in-studio and the host kept asking him what he was looking at.

Made me LOL.

And sorry guys, sounds like Mosley got stiffed on the interview. Sorry for the false alarm.

We can still trash Canty, though. :)

Okay, now Mosley is saying Canty told him he was upset about Igor being called his equal and says he's been nothing but classy since he left and would have expected the Cowboys to be classier than that.

Wade and Jerry have always said Canty was a good player and that we didn't want to lose him. And I guess he forgets his little interview where he backhandedly trashed Romo.

Dude he had FOUR sacks! Capt. Canty pass rusher...

Canty hasn't had four sacks in a season since 2003, his junior season at Virginia. Since then it's been 1, 2.5, 1, 3.5 and 3.

In the past eight seasons, including college and the NFL, Canty has a total of 17 sacks -- or 2.13 per season.

Stat man on the ball. Thanks I stand corrected!

about him here in Dallas... Especially regarding his replacement here.

Let's guess (shouldn't be too hard)... He's upset at the talk that we got roughly the same player for a lot cheaper price. Can't wait to hear him whine. Sounds like yet another Giant obsessed with us.

BTW, I saw where Mosley said in a little blurb from Giants camp that Canty's move to DT hadn't been so smooth thus far. I'm sure Mosley will have the full butt-kissing interview up soon.

I'm still confused about why the Giants paid so much for a guy who's never played a 4-3 DT position in his life. I honestly wont be shocked if a yr from now we're all laughing at them for the move.

Mosely talking up some 3rd round 6ft 6 speed receiver for the Giants. Supposedly a Giants insider has said that the guy will be a superstar in the NFL. Heard a little about him on draft day. He's apparently having an impressive camp.

What does he want the Cowboys to say, "We're really screwed now that Canty is gone....yeah we got Igor, but he really can't hold Canty's jock...."

I mean that's the nature of the business, and for the record, I don't think the Cowboys organization has said anything negative about him.

If he considers the organization saying positive things about Igor to be a diss to him, then he really needs to get over himself.

I don't blame him for leaving for twice the money but there isn't any reason to get butt sore because the media is saying Igor is playing the run as well as he can.

better run stopper than canty...not sure if hes better all around, but he is a better run stopper.

Yep. "I can't believe they are saying that Igor is going to play as well as I did. I mean... I had THREE sacks!"

Please. What are the Cowboys supposed to say? He is as stout against the run as Canty (at least) and when you have as few sacks as Canty did... it isn't going to take much to equal the pass rush he provided.

Igor should at least be Canty's equal. If that hurts Chris' feelings, then that's just tough.

In a 3-4, the DE isn't going to be a big contributor pass rushing. That's not his primary job.

Igor Olshansky will be better in both run support and pass rush than Canty was here. Not a doubt in my mind about it.

Not doubting you at all Hos, but what makes you so sure?

I think he's a better player who got the same stats as Canty in a lesser Defense. Here he will be between Ware and Ratliff. I just think he'll be better than people realize. He is a bull. I do expect him to come out on some passing downs because he is primarily a run stuffer. I just think he will benefit from who surrounds him.

Congrats on 3000 posts. Keep it up.

Chris Canty wasn't exactly productive as a nickel defensive tackle last year.

Why was he on the unit most of the time?

I'll be very surprised if Stephen Bowen doesn't shine in the role this season, was he not ready in '08 or were the coaches just playing who they trusted?

Canty is probably pissed because he wanted Tommy Kelley money, didn't quite get it and everybody here probably would have been pissed if he had gotten that money because he ain't worth that much. Instead, we got Igor at a much cheaper price and it's been apparent from the get go he's as good, if not better than Canty. To Canty's credit, he was a good teammate, worked hard and behaved himself and probably doesn't like the fact that the media that he probably thinks buddied up to him has now turned their backs on them. I don't think the local media has done that in this case, but that's how players tend to think in situations like this.

I wish him the best of luck, except when he's playing the Cowboys. But there's no way Dallas should have paid him what he was asking for.

More crying from a former player I guess. I don't know what the guy would expect when you jet from one team for more money. You have to expect that sort of stuff to be said.
