On Thursday, the Cowboys officially signed Bailey through the 2020 season, giving the kicker a six-year contract extension. Bailey was set to become a restricted free agent this year but the Cowboys bypassed all of that, paying him a deal that will pay Bailey a little more than $3 million per season.

Very good news at a time when it is scarce.

Bailey is a great kicker and very deserving if this contract extension.

It's been good to not have to worry about this position for the past few years.

And now hopefully, the next few years.

but this guy is a huge addition to this staff who brings a huge amount of success in developing TEs..

something these other coaches I thought have been complete failures at.

Other than Hanna..

its been a complete failure to develop anything to help Witten and Romo.

I think they would like to run more 2TE sets in both run and pass situations..

..and Escobar needs to play in all our passing situations..

maybe more than Witten.

After I saw Witten watch a pass go thru his hands against the Iggles for an inteception..

and then later to see Escobar show his quickness and pass skills for a huge TD against the Philly secondary..

..made me want more of Escobar.

Don't know about the rest of you guys.

This is a very good hire and I hope he can mold Esco into a real player since Witten's not getting any younger.

Guys he developed like Bear Pascoe have been going wild in this league.

I was thinking about this myself...
It does sounds a little steep for a kicker, but I've not compared Kicker salaries across the league so I've kept my mouth shut.
