Wow ..... you are reaching Edunce level of stupidity.

What is wrong about what I said?

Jerry gives control to football guys: Jimmy Johnson, Bill Parcells/Jeff Ireland = championships, winning seasons.

Jerry hires a bunch of puppets and controls everything himself: The period between firing Jimmy and hiring Parcells = crap.

That post went wayyyyy over your head, pal.

I don't know you and how much you cheer for the Cowboys outside of this forum. There could be other circumstances that explain your comments (although I don't know what they may be) yet you are willing to make assumptions about Ciskowski for which you have no evidence.

wind - the menu at mcdonalds goes way over his head when the mcribb is in season cause it 'looks different'. he's trying to get into fights and it gets old quickly.

No , it's your assumption that because Ciskowski has been here for a majority of Jerry's tenure of ownership of the Cowboys, he'll be a bad hire when you have no evidence that suggests he'll be a bad hire.

You're the epitome of a troll. Care to get back on the thread topic? If not, you should probably just leave.

I never said Ciskowski is a bad scout, but I'm assuming that if he's been here as long as he has and has never been given the chance to hold this position with us or another team, then he's probably not the best man for the job.

No one is replacing Jeff Ireland. Everyone is staying at their current positions and will be answering to Jerry and the Coaching staffs directly.

Does this mean we get compensation for Ireland? If they try to hire him before the draft, I believe Dallas has to get compensation. I'de swap 1st rounders with Miami thank you very much

no compensation - he has a promotion and not a damn thing we can do.

Wrong. Jerry could have prevented it, but chose not to.

How soon does Ireland get locked out of the Cowboys' computer system?

Nope - or he would have....

You can't stop a promotion to GM. He only aluded to stopping a "Personell" move.

Once GM was in play he had nothing.

Wrong. Here's Jerry's quote:

I didn’t want to do that, plus Wayne (Huizenga) had the same attitude about Jason Garrett, help us get Jason Garrett in here, while he was still under contract. Of course, I’ve got a good relationship with Bill (Parcells). And all of this fits real well."

He couldn't stop Ireland from getting the GM promotion and sure as heck no draft picks our way.

Agreed.

Jerry Jones was quoted saying he could have delayed such a move until after the draft, but that he wouldn't do that because he wanted Jeff Ireland to have the opportunity.

But Jones gave Miami permission to meet with Ireland and clearly didn't want to prevent Ireland from gaining a promotion.

"Everyone is aware that I ultimately could've said, 'Look, Bill is making the decisions out there' and I could've put this off until after the draft," Jones said. "I didn't want Jeff to lose his opportunity. I didn't want to do that."

The GM in Philadelphia doesn't have final say either. There's nothing special about the title GM.

When you are head scout, GM is a promotion, pretty clear cut and why we lost Ireland today. shame

No compensation and no notice needed. This had been discussed.
