Update on the Romo front

Just release him, let him go, time to move on from Romo...he was great when healthy, but I have serious doubts he will stay healthy as a starter for an entire season...and my guess is most other teams feel the same way. No point in letting him become a distraction for this team, at one point I thought he would be worth hanging onto as a backup or trade to a team in need in August/September.

Why do that? The obligation is to do what's right for the team. Dallas doesnt need the added cap space right now. Romo has been very well compensated for his work, and paid very well when he didn't play. "Doing right" by Romo was giving him his job back when he was fully ready to go. That time has passed.

It matters little now. Just to clarify, I like Romo, would have liked to get something if we could have...just don't think the market would have been there until August. I think Tony did the right thing, he retired and got a great job...
