Updated: Adrian Peterson suspension overturned, but is NOT reinstated

Oakland has its new bellcow in Lavante Murray and Minn has their's his name is Jerold McKinin...neither of these teams will be in the market for a bellcow if Peterson is let go.

Lavante Murray has 424 yards in two NFL seasons. The Raiders will be looking to improve their running back position. I doubt they look Peterson's way, but they won't be counting on Murray.

And I'll bet it's a deal that looks like $7 million per year but actually pays him $5 million.

If it was simply about money, he wouldn't be saying a word about the Vikings, the team currently overpaying him by $7 million, because no other team in the league would.

I can see a playoff team like Indy paying close to what Minn owes him. As well as teams like the Jets or the Bills. There will be a market for him if he is released.

Could he could land in Indy. They gave up a 1st rounder for Trent Richardson...they would probably give up 5 1st rounders for AP. lol

I see Indy overpaying for our current running back.

And going to any of those places you mention doesn't get him any closer to home.

And in most cases, nowhere close to a championship.

Don't kid yourself. Peterson is still the best back in this league, and will be for at least 2-3 more years.

He's a different beast than the rest.

Dude had ACL surgery and came back in eight months to rush for 2,000 yards with absolutely no quarterback. One of the most amazing things I've ever seen.

Ehh. I just have a gut feeling on this. If we do some how give up on Murray, and AP is our guy, then I'll hope for the very best.

I don't see it as us giving up on Murray. I see him getting a better deal elsewhere. And when the numbers on that deal come out, many of us will be glad we didn't go there.

Is this a joke? What a freakin buzzkill

If the NFL could make it any more messed up they will.

They can appeal or throw it back to their guy that has to go by the old CBA.

It is far from over......

@SportsCenter: CORRECTION: Adrian Peterson has not been reinstated. Judge ruled against NFL in his appeal, case will go back to CBA process.

Do you really think AD will come to Dallas for 5M to be home when others will pay him close to double? Indy with a running game would definitely be closer to a championship.

We'll see.

They may be embarrassed enough to admit that they messed up and over-stepped their authority.

Than the Cowboys?

I'll beg to differ.

But for the record, I don't see anyone - Colts included 'paying close to double'. The running back market doesn't bear that salary, for the Vikings or anyone else.

And I do believe that the idea of coming home and playing for his favorite team is worth at least $2 million in salary elsewhere, maybe even more.
