Updated: ***Cowboys Players Official Cut List***

I think the reason why we are doing this today is that we need to have the PS in place by Saturday because Sat-Monday are probably the big days for practice before the Giant game.

Sorry, but no way they do that now. Dockery, Arkin, and Parnell are your back-ups for week 1, and I anticipate it could even be Dockery that would be active on gameday over Arkin, moving Bernadeau to C, if needed. The change-up could be if someone shakes loose from another roster, as has been mentioned. The problem is, though, that even if they claim one of those guys tomorrow off of waivers, they wouldn't be able to practice except for, at the earliest, the walk-through on Monday.

Definitely agree with this. Another team would take be taking a big risk in signing Hamilton to their 53
All makes sense.

I think it's been removed starting next year. Hope I'm wrong, but I thought that's what I saw when the announcement was made.

The Cowboys are trying to do these guys right by releasing them a bit earlier than the last minute. The agents and players remember things like that.

The guys they really hope will slip through waivers (and some that they have not decided on--few at this point) will go later, imo.

Oh, I know I just don't want him near the team. He's been awful.

That starts next year, I believe.

Saw on another board that Bass has been cut and told they want him for the practice squad. The info supposedly came from a family member. Nothing official yet.

At halftime last night, Jerry said, "Dockery's not the same player he was."

And I thought, "Yeah, he's a total waste now."

But then Jerry said, "He's a lot better."

Right then I figured Dockery wasn't going anywhere.

Yeah....they mentioned yesterday on game day that Sat will be treated like a Wed .....

It's really hard for a backup undrafted free agent LB to make a 53 man squad unless he can play a significant role on special teams. Hamilton was pretty awful last night, while other bubble players put stepped up under the microscope.

That might only apply to guys being signed off the street. A guy who has been playing all camp and pre-season doesn't need those days. That rule must have been about going from 0 activity to 100% more slowly

Heard that too....and said "What"!!!!.....Jerry put that pipe down....

I just hope he doesn't end up on a division rival.

My assumption is that with the Cowboys (and Giants) playing before everyone else, today is the perfect day to release the players.

With the final cut down being tomorrow, chances are the Cowboys should be able to pick up any players for their PS because I doubt any team will sign these players to their final 53.

Purely from my amatuer perspective of course.

Can we have up at the top the number needed to get to 53? Can the administrator edit that in there?

Any one know how many you are aloud on the practice squad? I was thinking 5 but I really can not remember

8 unless it's been expanded.

Not talking about other teams. Talking about this team.

Results are clear.

That's myopic! If other teams hit less than we do, we are still terrible because we're less than perfect??

The draft is 100% a gamble. There's never a sure thing, much less a string of them through seven rounds. Go look at any draft year and see how many 4th round picks turn out to be reliable starters.
